This ‘Strange’ Car Was Parked By A Dexter Superfan On The Street Where Season 9 Is Filming [Photos]

A pretty weird way to demonstrate your love for 'Dexter'!

Scott Reynolds/Twitter

Shelburne Falls, MA, Friday April 9. Dexter Season 9 is filming, but there's something else that... 'steals the show' in this little town: This car. A Dexter superfan seized the opportunity to express his love for the show by writing Dexter-related names such as Rita, Hannah, Masuka, 'The Bay Harbor Butcher', Slice of Life, 'Deb 996' (number of Deb's total F-bombs in all eight seasons) and more, in his own car.

Photos were shared by executive producer and writer Scott Reynolds on his Twitter account. We don't know if he's local or came from another state (not that it matters, really) but that's undoubtedly a strange but kind of cool way (I guess) to show cast and crew members your love for America's favorite serial killer.

Dexter Revival - Michael C. Hall Filming Season 9 - New Set Photos (April 8)

Hi there, Dexter Morgan.

Scott Reynolds' Twitter

Filming for the Dexter revival continues in Shelburne Falls MA. Even though it's spring and temperatures range between 69 to 75°F (~20°C) the cast has to pretend it's super cold, considering the events of the current episodes take place around Christmas.

Now that the new season is shooting in a town, it's much easier to have pics from the set that finally include cast members. Michael C. Hall was spotted in the area yesterday, (April 8) while filming. View the photos, below! πŸ‘€

Dexter Season 9 - Filming Kicks Off In Shelburne Falls - New Set Photos

Lights, camera, action! Filming has begun in Shelburne Falls.

Paul Franz

Yesterday April 6, was the first day of shooting in the little town of Shelburne Falls, Massachusetts. Dexter's new season will be set around December, so after weeks of preparations by the production crew, the village became a... Christmas wonderland. Considering we're already in the beginning of spring and (real) snow was nowhere to be seen in the area, the scenic artists added faux snow in the streets of Shelburne Falls.

Filming kicked off on Tuesday afternoon with locals and fans watching production and technical crews at work. In our article's first pic you can see a Steadicam Operator getting ready to film a scene insinde a local mini-market.

POLL: Do You Want Hannah McKay To Return In Dexter Season 9?

What are the chances to see Hannah McKay back to the show, anyway?

Hannah McKay. Played by Yvonne Strahovski, she was introduced to the show back in episode 3 of the seventh season. Her actions during the season, and the way Dexter treated her instead of... killing her, made her one of the most controversial characters in show's history.

After trying to poison Deb twice and went to prison, she returned in the final season. Dexter was planning to leave Miami once and for all with her, and Harrison and start a new life together in Argentina. That never happened of course, as he ended up having a solitary life in Oregon after the death of his sister Deb.

Do you want Hannah McKay to make a comeback in the new season of Dexter? And how likely is it, considering Clyde Phillips holds the reigns of the new season? Vote in our poll below!

POLL: Dexter Revival - Are 10 Episodes Enough, Or It Needs More Seasons?

Is Season 9 enough? Or 'Dexter' needs more episodes to tell its story after the 10-year time jump?

Dexter returns in fall 2021 on Showtime as a limited 10-episode series. Michael C. Hall will reprise his role as America's favorite serial killer again, seven years after the finale. There are plenty of examples from anthology series and mini-series, like Fargo, True Detective, The Undoing, American Horror Story and others, that actually prove that ten, or less episodes are more than enough to unfold new stories, introduce characters etc. Do you think a single 'Dexter' season can achieve that too? Vote in our poll below!

Michael C. Hall On the Criticism About the 'Unsatisfying' Finale - Wants The Dexter Revival To Make Up For It: "It's a Worth-Telling Story"

In an all-new interview, Michael C. Hall talks about the decision to step back into the role of America's favorite serial killer, negative criticism, and more.

Happy New Year, everyone! In his first interview since the announcement of the Dexter Revival, Michael C. Hall discusses the bad criticism the original 2013 series finale received, and the opportunity to restore Dexter's legacy with the upcoming 10-episode limited series, that premieres later this year. [via the Daily Beast].

When questioned about why he decided to finally say yes and do the Dexter Revival, a decision that took lots of years, he said: "It’s a conversation that’s been ongoing, and different possibilities have emerged over the years. I think in this case, the story that’s being told is worth telling in a way that other proposals didn’t, and I think enough time has passed where it’s become intriguing in a way that it wasn’t before. And let’s be real: people found the way that show left things pretty unsatisfying, and there’s always been a hope that a story would emerge that would be worth telling. I include myself in the group of people that wondered, “What the hell happened to that guy?” So I’m excited to step back into it. I’ve never had that experience of playing a character this many years on."
