Scenes That Were Cut From Episode 8 of Dexter: New Blood ‘Unfair Game’

Let's see which three scenes were removed from the newest episode.

Showtime

The eighth episode was the shortest Dexter episode to date, for a reason. It lasted only 43 minutes and it had at least three scene removed, and one of them was shown in various official "Unfair Game" promo photos.

We're talking about a Dexter-Deb scene at the snowy woods, where we see her crying. Back in early December when Showtime first dropped the still from episode eight, fans were wondering what happens during that scene. Well, it looks like we'll never find out, since it was entirely cut.

Another scene that ended up being removed, was the one with the Christmas festivities in Iron Lake. The events of the latest episode take place on December 24, 2021, (almost) everyone in this little town is celebrating, but Dexter and Harrison's lives are at stake. According to David Magidoff, he and Katy Sullivan who plays Esther, filmed some Christmas scenes in the center of Iron Lake at night, which ended up being cut.

As you can see in the behind-the-scenes image right below,  Angela was there too, which doesn't make sense at all, since she spent most of her night diving into the Bay Harbor Butcher case at her house.

Last but not least, the "You're Beautiful" mirror scene. Dexter's running for his life in the woods of Iron Lake and finds shelter in an abandoned summer camp. Moments before Elric Kane arrives, there was a scene where he's taking care of the wound on his head, and then tasting his own blood. It was cut from episode 8, but you can see it below, through some GIFs Showtime released back in late August:
