Michael C. Hall on Dexter Season 9: "It's a Conversation That Continues At Its Own Pace"

Michael C. Hall who's currently co-starring on Netflix's 'The Crown' sat down with Entertainment Weekly to talk about his role as the 35th President of the United States JFK, and answers the question he is sick of hearing for the last 5 years: about a reboot or ninth season for Dexter.
Check out the interview, below:

ENTERTAINMENT WEEKLY: What was your first thought when offered this role? MICHAEL C. HALL: I knew the show was very well regarded but I had yet to see it. It was somewhat daunting, obviously, to breathe life into somebody so iconic and who had life breathed into him by so many other people. But that was also exciting. And when I looked at the script I thought the presentation [of Kennedy] was pretty broad spectrum. It’s basically a sketch — I’m there momentarily here and there — but it took some risks in terms of how and what it was depicting. And I was excited in this day and age to give a speech that a lot of people in the states would crave to hear from a leader.

You get out of any interview without being asked this question: Any thoughts on a Dexter reboot? Any moment on that front?
I don’t think it’s quite time. But it’s a conversation that continues at its own pace.

Sad News: Daniel Licht Composer of the Amazing Dexter Music Dies at 60

Daniel Licht, the man behind the stunning Dexter soundtrack, died of cancer, late Wednesday. He was only 60.

Licht scored all eight seasons of Dexter from 2006 to 2013. His great music was the heart and soul of the Showtime hit series, and was something that made the show even more special to the heart of the fans. All his soundtrack from Dexter is available in seven albums.

One of his latest achievements as a composer was from the PS4 game 'Dishonored 2' which was released in 2017.

Many of Licht’s scores were mostly in the horror genre, including two installments in the "Children of the Corn" series, two "Amityville" movies, Clive Barker’s "Hellraiser: Bloodline" and the Stephen King thriller "Thinner," all in the 1990s. But he also scored NBC’s 1998 adaptation of Aldous Huxley’s "Brave New World," Showtime’s 2000 Jimi Hendrix biopic "Hendrix," and Hallmark’s 2004 adventure miniseries "King Solomon’s Mines."

He had also branched out into the videogame arena, scoring two in the "Silent Hill" PlayStation series ("Downpour" and "Book of Memories") and the two games in the "Dishonored" series.

In 2015, Licht himself played many of the percussion instruments in a 10-minute orchestral suite of Dexter music performed live at Poland’s Krakow Film Music Festival.

Dexter executive producer Clyde Phillips spoke about Daniel Licht's passing: "Dan was an incredibly talented musician and composer, but most of all, he was a dear friend. His passing leaves all of us a bit quieter, a bit sadder, and without the gift of his music and his love."

Rest in Peace Daniel Licht, and thank you for your incredible music. Down below you can listen to his work from Dexter, via Spotify.

Dexter Cast Will Reunite For First Time Since the Finale This Month at Wizard World Comic Con

In September 2013 Dexter ended and since then, we have seen lots of cast reunions, but only in television series. Well, the one on March 17, 2017, will definitely be the best one yet!

Three and a half years later, five cast members of Dexter will reunite for the 2017 Wizard World Comic Con Cleveland. This will be pretty huge, once most of the actors who will attend didn't express their opinion on the finale, after the finale, well... publicly.

Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, James Remar, Jaime Murray, and Christian Camargo, from the Emmy nominated hit TV series Dexter, will be the actors to reunite for the first time during the world’s largest pop culture tour at Wizard World Comic Con Cleveland and St. Louis in 2017.

The Dexter cast will greet fans, sign autographs, pose for solo and dual photo ops and conduct an interactive Q&A panel, in their first Wizard World appearance together.

In both cities, Michael and Jennifer will appear Saturday and Sunday (March 18-19; April 8-9) and James Remar will attend Friday through Sunday; Jaime Murray will only appear in Cleveland Saturday and Sunday (March 18-19); Christian Camargo will attend in St. Louis Saturday and Sunday (April 8-9).

Michael C. Hall to Play JFK In Season 2 of Netflix's 'The Crown'

After a pretty big absence, Michael C. Hall will be back on television -- well, this time on Netflix. And for a huge role actually, as he will be playing JFK when “The Crown” returns to Netflix for its second season.

Hall will be joined by “Quarry” star Jodi Balfour as Jackie Kennedy. Season 2 of the English drama, which doesn’t yet have a premiere date, will segue into the 1960s, as Queen Elizabeth II loses her third prime minister to scandal amidst the illegal use of Her Majesty’s Armed Forces in Egypt.

Hmm...
