Michael C. Hall and Princess Goes to the Butterfly Museum bandmates Peter Yanowitz and Matt Katz were interviewed by Scott Lipps of the Lipps Service podcast a couple of days ago. They mostly talked about their band, but thankfully the host was nice enough to ask him a few things about the final episode of Dexter: New Blood "Sins of the Father". Dexter Actress Mary Mara Who Played 'Valerie Hodges' In Season 4 Dies In Apparent Drowning At Age 61

The late actress appeared in three episodes of the fourth season.

Actor Mary Mara, who played Valerie Hodges, a former confidential informant and lover of Harry Morgan in episodes "Slack Tide", "Lost Boys", and "The Getaway" of Dexter Season 4 died at the age of 61.

Mara was found dead on Sunday, June 26 after a suspected drowning incident while swimming in the St. Lawrence River, according to a New York State Police press release. Authorities said in the release that Mara's body showed no signs of foul play.

Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, David Zayas, Erik King, C.S. Lee, and James Remar attended the FAN EXPO 2022 which took place in Dallas, Texas from June 17 to June 19. During its last day all six actors joined fans for a special 40-minute panel, which ICYMI you can watch right here.

The last couple of days were pretty huge for the Texan Dexter fans (including our very own Nick Henderson) as they had the opportunity to meet their favorite actors from the original series. The FAN EXPO took place at the Kay Bailey Hutchison Convention Center in Dallas last weekend and Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, David Zayas, James Remar, Erik King, and C.S. Lee were there for every Dexter fan. 

During its final day, a 40-minute panel took place and fans had the chance to speak with the Dexter cast, who talked about their favorite moments from the nine season run of Dexter. Watch the full panel in the video below!

Showtime's 'For Your Consideration' Billboard About Dexter: New Blood Spotted In California

Executive producer and writer of Dexter: New Blood Scott Reynolds shared the above photo on his Instagram account last night, which shows Showtime's 'For Your Consideration' billboard, aka a promotion for the Emmy awards in the hope Dexter and its cast will be nominated. 

The nominations will be announced Tuesday, July 12, and the 74th Emmy Awards ceremony will take place two months later, on September 12 (NBC).

The event will featured three panels with this year’s Emmy-contending writers in the drama, comedy and limited series categories. Hall wanting to do it," he admits. "They really cared about the show and they wouldn’t have come back if they didn’t feel strongly. When Clyde called me I jumped at the opportunity and Michael really wanted me there to do it with him. I was anxious, nervous, excited. All of the above. That’s what drove me to want to do it." Gold Derby editor Denton Davidson sat with Dexter: New Blood star Jack Alcott, to talk about his experience filming Dexter's latest season. “I literally knew nothing about the show,” admits Jack about landing the role of Harrison Morgan. The original Showtime series aired from 2006 to 2013, spanning the ages of 10 to 17 for the actor. “I was not old enough to watch it. I knew it was a great show and a lot of people watched it. When the audition came in I was like, oh, this is cool.” Watch the video interview below.
