POLL: Which Dead Characters Would You Like To See In a Flashback or Vision In The Dexter Revival?

They might be dead, but they may come back. Characters that had a big impulse to Dexter's personality are often making an appearance in flashbacks, visions or his... mind.

Although Harry Morgan was dead long before the pilot of Dexter, he was a huge part of the show in several flashbacks in seasons one and two, and later on as a presence inside Dex's mind.

Rita and Doakes re-appeared on the show through flashbacks in the season 5 premiere and the season 7 finale respectively. In our poll below, you can pick two dead characters you're... dying to see making an appearance in the Dexter Revival. Cast your votes!

Dexter Season 9 / Revival Begins Filming In January 2021

Lights, camera, ACTION! Michael C. Hall and *hopefully* some other familiar faces from past seasons of Dexter are set to return to their roles this January, after seven years

Production for the forthcoming Dexter Revival is set to begin in early 2021, although the current situation with COVID-19 may change the schedule a little bit. Rumor has it that the upcoming 10 episodes will take more time to film... to be specific, a couple more months than usual. Not sure if that's because of more demanding scenes, or just a "slower" production due to Coronavirus.

More filming updates and casting coming soon. Stay tuned, Dexter fans!

Michael C. Hall's the Lead Singer of the Electronic - Rock Band 'Princess Goes to the Butterfly Museum'

As you may know, apart from an amazing actor, Michael C. Hall has a great voice too. Years after his lead role in Broadway's 'Hedwig and the Angry Inch', he and former colleagues Peter Yanowitz and Matt Katz-Bohen decided to form a rock/electronic band

During the celebrated Broadway production, Hall portrayed the lead in Hedwig, Yanowitz (the Wallflowers) was on drums, and Katz-Bohen (Blondie) served as the music director. Then, when Yanowitz and Katz-Bohen went out on the Hedwig tour, they forged a bond. “We were like, ‘We should hang out when we get back to New York,’” says Yanowitz. And little to his surprise, they actually followed through, getting together to jam, and coming up with the initial demos.

Check out below, the latest music video of the band which was released yesterday, November 11th!

“And after a few months, we had several jams, and were like ‘God, it would be amazing to have a singer,’” Yanowitz recalls. Then, during a dinner with Hall, he played the actor some of the jams. And after loving what he heard, Hall was quick to volunteer. “He said, ‘If you ever need a vocal on these, let me know.’ And I was like, ‘Yeah, come over tomorrow!’” Yanowitz says. Hall then took a stab at adding his voice to top off what the duo had previous created. “He got out his notebook and just started making words, and came in with some words.” And this, per Yanowitz, was “the fun spontaneous beginning of the project.”

Julie Benz Talks About Being Killed Off Dexter: "It Sucked, I Suffered From Panic Attacks"

In a recent interview with "Inside of You" Julie Benz discussed how she felt back in 2009, when the showrunners of Dexter decided to surprisingly kill Rita off the show.

"Getting killed off Dexter was pretty bad, I had no idea that was coming. I didn't know until three days before. They called me to the producers room, and I knew. When you're getting called by the producers, you're getting killed off the show... you just know that". She also revealed that she suffered from panic attacks afterwards. Also, funny thing about that this actually looks like what the actual 'Dexter Morgan' would do in the times we live in, as a lumberjack in Oregon. I mean the jacket is almost the same as the one in the final scene of the show!

[Throwback] Remembering Clyde Phillips' Original Ending For Dexter Back In 2013

With Dexter finally returning next year, it's a great opportunity to remember Executive Producer Clyde Phillips' initial idea for the series finale... if he still remained involved with Dexter back in the early 10s.

So... as you may know, Clyde Phillips was the main showrunner of Dexter in the first 4 seasons. Aka, the seasons that are the most popular among the fans. After season 4 he decided to leave the show, in order to "spend more time with his family".

After the final episode of Dexter back in 2013, he actually revealed on E! Online his idea for the series finale if he was still running the show. Most of the fans already know what we're talking about as we posted about it 7 years ago, days after the ending.

Warning! Clyde Phillips is back on the show for the Dexter Revival which means that... the upcoming 'second finale' of Dexter may resemble to the one he revealed seven years ago. Or maybe not just because all these years he actually had more time to think for a better script for the ending.

Possible spoilers ahead!
