In case you haven't read it, here's an excerpt from Kaddish, by Allen Ginsberg:
Strange now to think of you, gone without corsets & eyes, while I walk on

downtown Manhattan, clear winter noon, and I've been up all night, talking,

shout blind on the phonograph.

Brea Grant On Her Chances of Returning to Dexter

Via: fearnet.com: Brea Grant about her chances to returns on the seventh season of Dexter.
I've got to ask about Dexter. I don't feel like your character, Ryan, had very good closure. Any chance you will be back this season?
I don't know. I would love to go back. I'm glad you said that - I didn't feel like my character had much closure either! Shows like Dexter I feel are a lot more "planned" than shows like Heroes. With Heroes, I was supposed to be there for two episodes, but they liked me, and I ended up doing 17. Dexter, they kind of always knew my character was going to go in episode four. I'd like to think that people love me and I became very memorable and they want to bring me back. I hope they bring me back.

I feel like there was such much in the air. Like, where were they going with all the Ice Truck Killer memorabilia?
I don't know. All I know is, as an actor, is that like, I'm on for four episodes then I'm out.

Is there anything else you are working on?
Always! I'm writing a slasher comic book with my brother for IDW. It's called Let's Play God.. It's our third comic book together. I have a couple movies coming out. One is a disaster-thriller called Beach War, and the other is called The Baytown Disco.

'Dexter' Has Been Submitted for the Emmy FYC Package

Via: goldderby.com: Last year Showtime had major Emmy Awards nominations across the board for "Dexter" as Best Drama Series and acting nods for Joan Cusack ("Shameless"), Edie Falco ("Nurse Jackie"), Michael C. Hall ("Dexter"), Matt LeBlanc ("Episodes"), Laura Linney ("The Big C"), and Julia Stiles ("Dexter"). Showtime has sent out their 2012 campaign packages and also confirmed with Gold Derby the official category submissions for this year. With many of the same names returning plus hot newcomers like "Homeland" and "House of Lies," the Emmy haul for the premium channel should be even greater than before.

While the actors and actresses listed below are being submitted by the network itself, keep in mind that other eligible performers could be submitting on their own. The episode selections are confirmed for the guest categories, but leads and supportings do not submit their episode choices unless they are actually nominated in July. Brea Grant: "For Now I'm Not In Dexter Season 7"

Brea Grant (Ryan Chambers) answered fan questions on reddit.com. "As of right now, I'm not in the next season of Dexter". "I always knew I was only in for 4 episodes so while I would have loved to have had it extended, i knew i'd be out of a job after a month." "Working on Dexter was awesome. I mean, I was only there for my scenes and most of those were with C.S. (Masuka) so I mostly got to know him. He's pretty much the opposite of his character - really nice and not pervy at all." "Desmond (who plays Quinn) is pretty much the opposite of his character. He's actually really goofy and funny, not serious at all."

Jeff Lindsay Talks Michael C. Hall, Dexter and More

Via:  pbpulse.com: Burly, irrepressibly entertaining, a performer through and through, Jeff Lindsay batted around the idea of a life in the theater before he settled on the literary world.

He struck gold in 2004 with the first of a series of novels about Dexter, the serial killer who works for the Miami Police Department, which was then turned into a successful Showtime series.

Lindsay is a Florida boy from way back, and still lives here with his wife, Hilary Hemingway, the niece of Ernest. He’ll be appearing Saturday in west Delray Beach at the Hagen Ranch Road branch of the Palm Beach County Library for a fundraiser.

You wrote books before, but didn’t break through until Dexter. Was it his voice that made the difference?
I don’t have any idea. I don’t want to be coy, but I think it was just a case of if you stand in the rain long enough, lightning strikes. Read the full interview after the jump below...

Lucy Liu: “I Loved the Idea of Working With Michael C. Hall”

Via: darklydexter.com: Lucy Liu talked about ‘The Trouble With Bliss’ and working with Michael C. Hall in a recent interview for rottentomatoes.com.
Asked about what attracted her to the role, Lucy Liu stated: Well I read the script and I loved it. I thought that it was very funny and smart. I also loved the idea of Michael C. Hall. I think he’s lovely and talented, so I kind of jumped on board. It was also shooting New York. I don’t know how it exactly all turned out in the end, but I know that I liked the character: I thought she was a bit odd and had a very strange energy. She was sort of syncopated. I thought that was a nice addition to how the rest of the movie was going. She sort of says one thing and then she does another. She’s hitting on somebody although she has a completely other relationship, you know — she’s trouble. I liked that there was some dimension to her. I also liked the idea of a man who’s still living at home and hasn’t moved on; I thought it was interesting to have other people in his life be quite colorful and try to draw him out, yet ultimately he has to be motivated to move out in his own. I also love doing comedy, and I thought that was a little more comedic than some of my other roles that I’ve done in the past.
