Let’s take a closer look inside the “For Your Consideration” event celebrating the first season of Dexter: Resurrection, held on May 14.
Thursday, May 14, turned out to be a very busy and eventful day for several members of the Dexter: Resurrection cast and crew, as it included both filming and two major appearances in New York City on the very same day.
Michael C. Hall, Jack Alcott, Scott Reynolds, and Clyde Phillips were actually joined by Eric Stonestreet, Krysten Ritter, and David Zayas for a pair of special events tied to the series.
The group reunited to take part in an important For Your Consideration (FYC) event for Dexter: Resurrection. For those who are not familiar, FYC events have been a longtime Hollywood tradition, organized by studios, networks, and streaming platforms in hopes of getting Emmy voters to consider their shows during awards season.
Interestingly, the last Dexter-related FYC campaign happened back in spring 2022 for Dexter: New Blood. While the miniseries received a lot of attention among fans, it unfortunately failed to secure Emmy nominations or any wins, only receiving a few Saturn Awards nominations.
Some of you may now wonder why Dexter: Original Sin never received a similar FYC push last year. The likely reason is that these campaigns are extremely expensive, and Paramount actually understood that a prequel series like Original Sin had very slim chances of landing major Emmy recognition anyway.
That actually makes this year’s push for Dexter: Resurrection even more important. Paramount and the team behind the series definitely have confidence in the show, which honestly makes sense considering the amazing reception and the awards attention the new series has already received.
Following the attendance photos we shared on Friday, the cast and crew took part in not one, but two separate Q&A events at different NYC locations, where members of Hollywood guilds, critics groups, and industry academies had the chance to speak directly with the cast and crew,

Moving on to the after-party, in this following shot we see Krysten Ritter warmly hugging Clyde Phillips.

Following the first event later that same afternoon, Eric Stonestreet, Krysten Ritter, David Zayas, Jack Alcott, and Michael C. Hall attended SAG-AFTRA Foundation Conversations at the Robin Williams Center. The cast once again gathered for photos before heading into another Q&A session.
