A night shoot in the heart of New York City reveals a highly anticipated reunion between two original characters, and the unexpected interaction is intriguing.

As production on Dexter: Resurrection's second season continues for a fourth consecutive month, things have been relatively quiet lately when it comes to updates from the New York City set. It has also been quite some time since we last received new set photos from the usual paparazzi agency.
However, that appears to be changing today.
Dexter and Quinn Reunite in Times Square
During Week 18 of production, (potentially on August 12) a major scene was filmed in the heart of New York City, Times Square. The scene took place at night, and considering the popularity of the location and the huge crowds surrounding it, there was very little chance of the filming staying completely under wraps.
What the scene featured is particularly interesting and will likely have Dexter fans talking.
Footage shared online by TikTok user Rachy Col (scroll to the end of this article to watch it) shows Michael C. Hall in character as Dexter Morgan, both between takes and while the cameras were seemingly rolling, filming alongside Desmond Harrington. As most fans know by now, Harrington is returning as Joey Quinn in Season 2, this time in a series regular role.
The two actors were seen together for the first time on the set, and their interaction is what actually makes the footage especially intriguing.
Dexter and Quinn were filmed getting into a Ford "UrCar" rideshare SUV together, with Dexter sitting in the passenger seat and putting on his seatbelt. Quinn, meanwhile, was sitting in the back and leaning his elbow against the driver's seat.
Based on the actual footage, Quinn even appears to be drunk, possibly after a night out with Dexter.
An Unexpectedly Friendly Dexter and Quinn
The reunion itself would already be exciting enough, but there is another detail that is really worth noting.
Both actors appeared to be in great spirits while in character during the scene. As they got into the SUV, they were seen smiling and even laughing together before the vehicle drove away.
Of course, it is difficult to know exactly what was happening in the story based on a behind-the-scenes video alone, especially since some of the footage may have been captured between takes. Still, if these moments are part of the actual scene, they could point to a very different dynamic between Dexter and Quinn in Season 2.
That would be particularly interesting considering Quinn's complicated history with Dexter in the OG series and the events involving Angel Batista in Dexter: Resurrection Season 1.
Could Season 2 be setting up a much more... friendly relationship between Dexter and Quinn? At the very least, seeing the two characters apparently enjoying a night out together is honestly an unexpected development.
For the scene, Hall was wearing a light blue-gray shirt, while Harrington was dressed in black.
New York Crowds Make Filming Spoilers Harder to Hide
It is also worth noting just how many people were aware of the filming that night.
The video (briefly) shows large crowds of both New Yorkers and tourists watching the production from across the street as the scene unfoded in Times Square, which is another reminder of just how difficult it is for the production team to keep key moments hidden when filming in one of the busiest locations in New York City.
When it comes to the exact episode this scene belongs to is still unknown at this point, although it is safe to assume that it comes from Episode 7 or later based on the current production schedule.
