Even though the scene is set to take place in NYC’s busiest area, people are being sought to dress as gorillas.
However, one of the latest casting calls is easily one of the strangest ones the show has had so far throughout both seasons of Resurrection.
According to the casting call, individuals who are able and comfortable wearing a gorilla costume are needed for a background scene taking place in Times Square, New York City.
But the casting call gets even more specific. Instead of simply providing the costumes, Waldron Casting, the well-known New York City casting agency, is looking for people who already own a gorilla costume similar to the one shown in the photo at the top of this article.
Of course, this is paid background work.
Filming for the scene is scheduled for Tuesday, September 1, which means there is still enough time for SAG and non-union performers who are interested and meet the requirements to apply.
Applicants must have access to a gorilla costume similar to the one shown in the casting notice and be experienced and comfortable wearing it for extended periods of time, especially in hot weather.
What Could the Gorilla Scene Be About?
It is actually easy to imagine that the gorillas could be part of some kind of event or street activity taking place in Times Square. The location is, after all, one of the most famous and heavily photograhped places in New York City, attracting millions of visitors every year.
