The complete lineup of every actor confirmed as a series regular for the second season Dexter: Resurrection.
It is no exaggeration to say that Dexter: Resurrection has already gotten fans used to seeing major Hollywood names in key roles. Season 1 was a perfect example of that, with more than a handful of well-known actors joining the cast. And thankfully, it looks like Season 2 will be no different.
Paramount+ recently revealed a list of every returning and new actor who will be considered part of the main cast for the sophomore season. That also means their names are expected to appear in the new opening title sequence inspired by the iconic intro from the original Dexter series, which is set to return for Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection.
While most of the names on the list were already known, the official cast lineup actually confirms the absence of a Season 1 main character who, despite surviving the first season, will no longer be part of the main cast. That actress is Emilia Suárez, who portrayed Harrison’s friend and hotel co-worker Elsa Rivera. Based on this list, it seems her journey in the show might be over for good.
Without further ado, here is the official main cast list for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, along with every actor and character confirmed as a series regular. It’s also worth mentioning that the order below actually matches the one provided by Paramount.
1. Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan
There’s really nothing surprising here. Dexter Morgan himself remains front and center.
2. Uma Thurman as Charley Brown
Not only is Uma Thurman returning as Charley, but she will once again be credited as a series regular in Season 2. That detail wasn’t fully confirmed when her return was officially announced back in April, making this a very promising sign for the size of her role moving forward.
3. Jack Alcott as Harrison Morgan
The actor behind Harrison Morgan now lands third on the list. In Season 1, he was listed fourth, below Uma Thurman and David Zayas.
4. Ntare Guma Mbaho Mwine as Blessing Kamara
The actor behind Blessing Kamara follows right after Jack Alcott, which actually suggests a similar level of importance and screen time to what he had in Season 1.
5. Kadia Saraf as Claudette Wallace
The actress behind the unique Detective Claudette Wallace comes next on the list.
6. Dominic Fumusa as Melvin Oliva
The actor behind now-Sergeant Melvin Oliva is also back as part of the main cast.
7. James Remar as Harry Morgan
This will mark the tenth season of Dexter overall to feature Harry Morgan, with Remar once again returning as part of the main cast.
8. Desmond Harrington as Joey Quinn
Lieutenant Joey Quinn is officially back, something that had already been confirmed for a while. Interestingly, Harrington is placed significantly lower compared to David Zayas in Season 1.
9. Brian Cox as Don Framt
The acclaimed actor behind Don Framt, also known as the New York Ripper, is part of the main cast as well. Similar to the special guest star treatment seen in earlier Dexter seasons, his name actually appears lower on the list despite the importance of the character.
10. Dan Stevens as Owen Stark
Next is the actor behind the season’s second major antagonist, Owen Stark, also known as the Five Borough Killer.
11. Nona Parker Johnson as Fiona Mixon
The young actress portraying brand-new character Fiona Mixon is listed as a series regular, essentially filling the spot left behind by Emilia Suárez from Season 1.
12. Bokeem Woodbine as Capt. Mixon
The actor behind another new character, Captain Mixon, rounds out the list. Just like Nona Parker Johnson, it’s unknown whehter his placement will stay the same in the actual opening credits sequence, but he is officially part of the main cast.
Looking at the full lineup, the one thing that becomes immediately obvious is that the cast for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 is massive.
In fact, this is the first Dexter season ever to feature 12 main cast members. For comparison, Season 1 of Dexter: Resurrection had 10 series regulars, with David Zayas, Peter Dinklage, and Emilia Suárez no longer included in the main cast lineup for Season 2.
