Fresh images from April 28 at Washington Square Park show the actor fully in character as Owen Stark.
The second season of Dexter: Resurrection is set to introduce two major antagonists that Dexter Morgan will have to eliminate, and one of them is Owen Stark, also known as the Five Borough Killer (FBK). Portrayed by Dan Stevens, a highly versatile actor with an big list of film and television credits, this character is already promising enough to become unforgettable.
His tactics, based on the official character synopsis, are both unique and disturbing, suggesting that audiences, along with Dexter himself, are in for some strong moments. The fact that the description already compares him directly to the infamous Zodiac Killer only makes things even more intriguing, and actually raises expectations for a complex villain.
While the first look at Stevens as this notorious new serial killer was revealed more than a week ago, highlighting his really creepy presence, today brings some brand-new images of him as Owen Stark. These photos show him filming a specific scene at one of New York City’s busiest and most iconic landmarks, Washington Square Park. Right below, you can see the actor walking by the monument.
The actor was spotted fully in character, moving through crowds, then sitting on a bench while holding a weird-looking smartphone, as the image on the top of this article shows. At first glance, the device doesn’t really resemble a typical phone, mainly due to its multiple ports along the top.
As for his outfit, Stevens was dressed in a blue hoodie, light blue jeans, and a matching cap. By now, it actually seems pretty obvious that blue is Owen Stark’s signature color, and it even complements his eye color. One small but definitely interesting detail is the ring on his left hand, which could hint at something regarding Stark’s personal life.
Director Marcos Siega was frequently by his side, guiding him through the scene and giving direction, as it is actually expected, especially during an outdoors shoot. Around Stevens, dozens of crew members and background actors were also visible.
The exact episode the scene is about isn't confirmed, but the most likely scenario is either Episode 1 or 2. As for the context of this scene remains under wraps, but it strongly suggests that the Five Borough Killer is either observing someone or planning something far more... disturbing.
