Dan Stevens Joins Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 as the Five Borough Killer

A major new addition to the cast of Season 2 has just been announced, and it’s a big one!


Actor Dan Stevens has officially joined the cast of Dexter: Resurrection, and his role is already becoming one of the most intriguing additions yet. Best known for his performance in Downton Abbey and his work in Legion, Stevens is set to play a chilling new character: a serial killer known as the Five Borough Killer.

The character Stevens will portray is Owen Stark, who is actually expected to serve as the second major antagonist in Dexter: Resurrection Season 2. He joins the growing lineup of threats alongside the already announced New York Ripper, played by Brian Cox, raising the stakes even higher.

According to details released via Paramount+, Stevens has been cast as a series regular for the upcoming season. In his official character synopsis, Owen Stark, is described as a calculated and terrifying killer who, much like the infamous Zodiac Killer, taunts law enforcement with ominous phone calls threatening the lives of innocent people. And when those threats turn into reality, both the city and the police are left in a state of fear and chaos.

Beyond his television success, Stevens has built an impressive film career as well. In addition to his voice role in Solar Opposites and his appearance in Zero Day, he recently starred in Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire. His filmography also includes major titles such as Beauty and the Beast, Eurovision Song Contest: The Story of Fire Saga, and Cuckoo, further proving his versatility as an actor.
