Week two of production has just given us our first glimpse of a new face in the upcoming second season!
The second season of Dexter: Resurrection is currently filming in the heart of New York City, and day two of week two has already given us our first real look at an intriguing new character. Officially revealed just last week, Owen Stark (also known as the Five Borough Killer) is played by renowned actor Dan Stevens.
Stevens was spotted fully in character while cameras were rolling during a busy shoot surrounded by crew members and extras. The photos, captured early in the morning on April 21 by Jose Perez/Bauer-Griffin in Midtown Manhattan, give our first glimpse at Owen Stark. And first impressions? Well, unsurprisignly, he actually looks the kind of person where you can tell that something is very, very off.
Last week’s casting announcement revealed that the FBK, as his initials suggest, will serve as a major antagonist to Dexter Morgan in Dexter: Resurrection Season 2. According to the character synopsis by Paramount+, Stark is a calculated and terrifying killer who taunts law enforcement with phone calls, threatening innocent lives. When those threats actually take shape, the entire city is thrown into fear and chaos.
And judging by these set photos, that chilling personality is already more than obvious.
The interesting things is that much like Brian Cox was spotted on set on April 20, Stevens who, according to locals, has been present since week one of filming, was seen wearing two different outfits throughout the day. This likely means that multiple scenes are being filmed, even for different episodes.
In one look, he’s dressed head-to-toe in light blue, complete with a matching hat. In another, the outfit actually changes entirely, something that suggests a different moment in the story.

2. A closer look at the same moment shows a boom mic hovering above, confirming cameras are actively rolling. Stevens is fully in character here, and the twisted expression on his face really says it all!
4. Another angle shows him walking down the street outside the NYPD, maintaining that same creepy presence.
5. This image appears to be from a different scene entirely. Without the hat, he actually looks much more ordinary.
6. A wider shot suggests Stark is standing near a police patrol car, and once again, it’s clear he’s up to something.
