September 8 marked the strong beginning of the marketing campaign for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, and for now, it looks like Paramount+ has no intentions of slowing down. As many of you already know, 2026 is a very special year for Dexter, as the franchise celebrates two decades since the original series first premiered.
It was October 1, 2006, when it all began, and now, as we get closer to the exact 20th anniversary, fans can expect Paramount+ to release some exciting new material to celebrate the milestone. And the first major piece has just arrived, and it is an official poster dedicated to 20 years of Dexter.
More specifically, Paramount+ Argentina was the first to share this brand-new celebratory poster, and honestly, what is not to love about it?
The poster is packed with nostalgic vibes and shows Dexter Morgan posing like an average child would in front of their birthday cake, with his head resting on his hand. But instead of a traditional birthday cake, there is a giant donut sitting in front of him, filled with red marmalade. Above it, we see two candles shaped like the numbers 2 and 0, for obvious reasons.
But the most impressive detail, which many of you may not notice at first, is what the donut is actually sitting on. The giant donut is placed on a huge bloody blood slide that serves as its plate.
The whole scene takes place inside a kill room, as the plastic sheets in the background make clear, while the table Dexter is leaning on is none other than a classic kill table. Dexter is also wearing a variation of his iconic kill shirt, along with an apron that actually is the perfect finishing touch to the entire image.
This is a very smart promotional poster that manages to celebrate Dexter's 20th anniversary while also bringing back some of the visual elements that have defined the character for two decades.
And honestly, it is another great example of just how creative and clever the Paramount+ marketing team continues to be.
