Dexter: Resurrection Director Reveals Major Season 2 Milestone as Filming Reaches Episode 6

As production continues, director Marcos Siega shared an exciting update on the progress of filming, revealing a major new milestone.


The second season of Dexter: Resurrection is currently filming in several locations across New York City, and on June 25th, director Marcos Siega shared an exciting update from the set in Nyack, a village in New York State. 

The update reveals a major production milestone for the highly anticipated new season. And that is that Season 2 has already completed filming for five of its ten episodes, meaning that half of the season is now in the can.

Reaching episode six this early actually suggests that production is running smoothly and everything works as it should behind the scenes. Siega shared the news on Instagram, writing, "Can't believe we're already shooting Episode 6!" 

His post gave fans a glimpse into how far production has progressed on Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, which is currently in its eleventh week of filming.

Inside the Instagram Set Update

Set to Billy Joel's You May Be Right, the shared reel features dozens of crew members preparing for a scene at an exterior location that appears to be outside a church.

Several police vehicles can be seen in the area, actually hinting that something may have gone wrong at this point in the story. Detective Melvin Oliva, played by Dominic Fumusa, was also spotted on set amogn the crew members.

What This Means for the Premiere Date

The news that half of Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 has already been filmed is sure to excite everyone who is eagerly waiting to see what's next for Dexter Morgan.

While an official premiere date has not yet been announced, all signs suggest that July could finally bring confirmation of when Season 2 will debut.
