We finally have our first look at Dexter’s son in the upcoming sophomore season, and wow, he looks completely different!
Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 is shaping up to bring back many of the characters introduced as series regulars in its first season, and there was never a doubt that Harrison Morgan would be one of them. Since his reintroduction in Dexter: New Blood, Harrison (portrayed by Jack Alcott) has stayed at the center of the story, even if his earlier teenage storyline received mixed reactions and didn’t actually land as smoothly as intended.
That changed in Season 1 of Dexter: Resurrection, where Harrison’s arc felt much more focused and carefully developed. Now, with Season 2 on the horizon, the series seems ready to push him even further. And based on the latest set photos a major transformation is already in motion.
Alcott officially joined the rest of the main cast during the second week of filming, and on April 21st he was spotted shooting scenes for the upcoming season for the first time this year. What immediately caught attention was how different he looked compared to last season, to the point where he was almost unrecognizable at first glance!
The most noticeable difference is his overall look. Harrison’s new haircut gives him a serious and more mature presence, as he now moves away from the youthful look we were actually used to. But beyond that, the biggest clue comes from what he’s wearing. The set photos confirm that Dexter’s son has taken a major step forward in his life, as he now appears to be working as a police officer.
Yes, Harrison Morgan is seemingly entering law enforcement in Season 2, which marks a significant evolution for the character. This development also suggests that a lot of time has passed between season 1 and season 2, something that had already been hinted at through a few details from the set.

Of course, this big change doesn’t really come out of nowhere. In the latter part of Season 1, Harrison showed a growing interest in following the path of his grandfather Harry and his aunt Debra, both of whom were closely connected to law enforcement. That trajectory continued as he enrolled in college, setting up where the story now seems to be heading.
In the newly released photos, Alcott is seen filming scenes inside what is actually meant to be a New York City police precinct in Midtown Manhattan, alongside actress Nona Parker Johnson. Based on the casting update from last week, she is set to play Fiona Mixon, a homicide training officer and the captain’s daughter, who is also expected to become Harrison’s new love interest.
Captured by Jose Perez for Bauer-Griffin, the images show both actors in good spirits while filming inside the precinct set. A closer look even reveals a camera placed behind them, meaning that the scene involves the two characters watching something, or someone, outside the window.
All of this points to a meaningful shift in Harrison’s journey. The troubled teen that once struggled with identity and abandonment now seems to be moving toward a more stable and of course, a purposeful path. Given how lost he was after Dexter left him, and even during the early stages of their reunion, this progression is actually satisfying to see unfold!
