Dexter Tracks His Next Victim with Ghost Harry in Dexter: Resurrection Sneak Peek — Watch Now!

Who is Ronald Schmidt in this new sneak peek clip from Dexter: Resurrection?

The countdown is officially on — just three days remain until Dexter: Resurrection makes its highly anticipated debut on Paramount+ Premium this Friday. As excitement reaches a fever pitch, fans can expect a wave of promotional content, cast appearances, and intriguing updates leading up to the premiere.

This morning, ahead of Michael C. Hall’s appearance on CBS Mornings to promote the new chapter in the Dexter saga, a brand-new sneak peek clip from the sequel series dropped — offering fans another chilling glimpse into Dexter Morgan’s return.

Sneak Peek #3: Dexter Is Back on the Hunt in "Camera Shy"

The new clip — the third preview we've received so far — is from Episode 2, titled "Camera Shy", which will premiere alongside Episode 1 on Friday. You can check out the first two sneak peeks here and here.

Set against the moody, nighttime backdrop of New York City, the 37-second video finds Dexter nearly recovered from the traumatic coma he slipped into at the end of Dexter: New Blood. While he’s not quite 100%, he’s already slipping back into his old habits — stalking a potential target and testing out a new tracking app on his smartphone.

By Dexter’s side, as always, is the ghost of his adoptive father Harry Morgan, once again played by James Remar. As a manifestation of Dexter’s subconscious, Harry warns him that his body isn’t ready for physical confrontation — a clear hint that the psychological and physical aftermath of Dexter’s near-death experience will linger through the early episodes.

Meet the Target: Ronald “Red” Schmidt

Dexter’s person of interest in this scene is Ronald Schmidt, nicknamed “Red,” a field technician whose name appears in Dexter’s phone — though initially without a photo. As Dexter stalks him from a distance, he quickly confirms Red’s identity. The character is portrayed by Marc Menchaca, known for his intense roles in series like Ozark and The Outsider.

This short yet powerful clip reaffirms what fans have been hoping: Dexter Morgan is back — calculating, dangerous, and deeply conflicted.
