Following the huge Dexter updates, we now have four fresh stills featuring some of the new and returning serial killers set to appear in Season 2.
With Season 2 now having an official premiere date, excitement among fans is reaching another level as we get closer to the return of Dexter Morgan. And Paramount+ is wasting no time building the hype.
Following the release of the new teaser trailer and the Season 2 premiere date, Entertainment Weekly has now unveiled four brand-new promotional stills from various episodes of the upcoming season.
The four images offer our first official looks at some major characters, including two of the season’s new serial killers. They also give fans a look at a returning character whose fate was reverse after what seemed like a definitive ending Season 1.

Dexter Morgan Tries on Reading Glasses
The first image, which can actually be seen at the top of this article, shows our favorite antihero trying on pairs of reading glasses while visiting an optometrist somewhere in New York City.
The scene may look familiar to someone who has already watched the newly released teaser trailer, and that’s because it appears to be the same sequence featured in the promo.
However, the fact that Entertainment Weekly has released this as an official episode still suggests that the scene was not filmed exclusively for the teaser. Instead, it appears to be part of the actual story in one of the upcoming episodes, potentially meaning that different versions of the scene were filmed for the trailer and the series itself.
First Official Look at Gabriel Luna as the Sleepy-Eyed Strangler
Moving on to the more... intriguing images, the second still gives us our first official look at Gabriel Luna as Ray Ballard, better known as the Sleepy-Eyed Strangler.
As previously revealed, The Last of Us star is playing one of Dexter: Resurrection Season 2’s new serial killers, and this image gives us our first proper look at him in character.
Interestingly, Ray is standing next to Dexter Morgan while both appear to be looking at someone off-screen. Based on what we already know from the Season 2 set footage, all signs point to Uma Thurman’s Charley being the person they are looking at.
First Official Look at the Five Borough Killer
The new batch of images also gives us a proper official look at Dan Stevens as the serial killer known as the Five Borough Killer.
The still shows Stark inside a New York City subway station, where he actually appears to be looking directly toward photographer Matt Infante in a rather creepy moment.
Unlike many of the set photos that have surfaced over the past few months, the FBK is wearing glasses in this official still, something that gives the character a slightly different appearance from what we have seen in previous behind-the-scenes images.
Krysten Ritter’s Lady Vengeance Is Back
Perhaps the most intriguing image of the entire batch is the one featuring Krysten Ritter as Mia Lapierre sitting next to Dexter Morgan.
The image alone is enough to make it clear that Lady Vengeance really did fake her death, just as many fans theorized after the Season 1 episode in which Mia appeared to be lying dead on the prison floor.
Ritter was spotted quite a few times on the set during filming, so her return has already been heavily teased through behind-the-scenes photos. Still, seeing her fully in character and sitting on the same couch as Dexter makes this official image especially interesting.
After all, Dexter was the one who turned Mia over to the police in Season 1 and framed her for a crime she did not commit in order to clear Harrison's name. Now, the two characters appear to be sitting side by side, raising questions.
And there we have it. These are the four brand-new official episode stills from Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, and each one gives us something interesting to look forward to. One notable omission, however, is Brian Cox as The New York Ripper. The character remais one of the season’s biggest mysteries, and Paramount+ still appears to be keeping him in the shadows.
But with Season 2 now officially on the way, that probably will not last much longer.
