Paramount+ just released an exciting teaser trailer for the second season of Dexter: Resurrection, giving fans a small glimpse at what's next.
As promised a day earlier, Paramount+ dropped some exciting new updates for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, including the highly anticipated release date. The announcement came with a brand-new teaser trailer, giving fans a first look at what to expect from Dexter Morgan when the series returns.
And honestly, this teaser has a very old-school Dexter vibe.
That feeling may have something to do with the 1959 song “I Only Have Eyes for You” by The Flamingos, which plays throughout the promo. The song choice fits perfectly with the concept of the teaser and gives the whole video the idea that will remind longtime fans (especially)of the original Dexter era.
In the teaser, Dexter Morgan visits an eye doctor as he tries to find the right glasses to deal with his presbyopia.
We see Dexter taking an eye exam and struggling to make out the letters in front of him. But since this is a release date reveal, the test eventually takes a very Dexter turn.
When Dexter finally sees clearly, the letters reveal the exact date that Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 will premiere: Friday, October 30, 2026.
The teaser comes with the perfect tagline: “He’s Back, and Sharper Than Ever.”
And the final moment makes it even better. After seeing the premiere date, Dexter looks directly at the camera and gives a familiar smile that could only belong to our favorite antihero.
The promo really doesn't stop with the release date reveal.
The video wraps up with a few quick shots from the upcoming season, giving us a glimpse at what's ahead. These actually are brand-new pieces of footage from various episodes, and it is enough to make the teaser more than just... a clever way to announce the premiere date.
