Michael C. Hall and Krysten Ritter Spotted Filming Mysterious Dexter: Resurrection Scene as New Photos Offer Answers

New Season 2 set photos of Michael C. Hall and Krysten Ritter may reveal what's really happening in a mysterious scene.

Warning: The following story contains spoilers for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2.

Wednesday, July 8, turned into a busy and revealing day on the set of Dexter: Resurrection's second season. Thanks to a new batch of paparazzi photos from Bauer-Griffin, we got another look at filming in New York City, and these latest images actually answer some of the questions raised by the first set of photos.

Earlier, we shared images of Michael C. Hall and Krysten Ritter filming together as Dexter Morgan and Mia Lapierre. At the time, the photos showed the two characters watching someone from a distance in broad daylight in Astoria, but there weren't enough images to reveal exactly who they were following.

But... the newly released photos finally provide that answer!

Dexter and Mia Are Watching the New York Ripper

The person Dexter and Mia are secretly watching is none other than Don Framt, better known as the New York Ripper, played by Brian Cox.

If these set photos accurately reflect what's actually happening in the story, Dexter may no longer be the only person who knows Don Framt's true identity. Instead, it appears that Mia Lapierre, who all signs suggest faked her death in Season 1, is now stalking the elusive serial killer alongside him.

Of course, that raises some very interesting questions.

The biggest one is whether Mia has finally discovered that Dexter is not Ronald Schmidt, the so-called Dark Passenger Killer, but the (real) Bay Harbor Butcher. At this point, it's impossible to say for sure, but it is becoming increasingly difficult to rule out that possibility.

Are Dexter and Mia Working Together?

Another intriguing detail comes from Krysten Ritter's interactions on set. She was spotted interracting with Brian Cox's stunt double, who was wearing the same white wig and identical outfit as the actor.

That could suggest Mia and Don Framt share a scene together, possibly even a conversation.

Meanwhile, debate continues across comment sections about the true nature of Ritter's return. Many fans still believe Mia will only appear as a figment of Dexter's imagination. However, these latest set photos actually paint a very different picture.

Instead, they suggest that Dexter and Lady Vengeance are forming an alliance and actively working together. If that's really the case, the dynamic could resemble Dexter's partnerships with Miguel Prado in Season 3 or Lumen Pierce in Season 5 of the OG series.

Of course, Season 1 made it obvious that Mia Lapierre is far from trustworthy. Even so, everything we've seen from the set so far points toward the two characters operating as a team... at least for now.

When it comes to the exact episode being filmed, it remains unknown, although Episode 6 seems like the most likely possibility.

What do you think is really happening in this scene? Do you agree with our theory that Dexter and Mia are working together? Let us know in the comments below!
