The actor shared a new mirror selfie with his co-star from the Dexter: Resurrection set, and fans absolutely loved the behind the scenes moment.
As filming is in its 15th consecutive week for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 in New York City, excitement is high. And every now and then, someone involved with the show gives fans another reason to get excited. This time, it was returning star Desmond Harrington.
On Tuesday, Harrington took to Instagram to share a black-and-white mirror selfie from an elevator featuring himself alongside Michael C. Hall.
The two actors were dressed casually, and their outfits clearly weren't the kind Dexter Morgan or Joey Quinn would wear. That suggests the photo was likely taken either before filming began for the day or after it wrapped.
Even so, it is another rare public appearance of the two together. The last time they were seen in photos side by side was more than a year ago at the world premiere of Dexter: Resurrection last summer.
Fans wasted no time reacting to the photo. The response was overwhelmingly positive, with hundreds of comments from fans who were thrilled to see Hall and Harrington together while Season 2 is in production. The image also helped Harrington gain thousands of new Instagram followers within just a few hours, which says a lot about how excited fans are to see Joey Quinn back.
Just a few days after Season 2 began filming, on April 22, it was officially confirmed that Desmond Harrington would return as Joey Quinn. Even better for fans, he will be a series regular this season, meaning he'll have considerably more screen time than he actually did in Season 1.
That news alone definitely increases the chances of a long-awaited reunion between Dexter and Quinn, something fans have wanted to see for years. The last time the two characters shared a scene was in the original series finale in 2013. After Dexter killed Oliver Saxon, aka the Brain Surgeon, Batista and Quinn briefly questioned him about what happened.
It was during that scene that Quinn delivered his now-iconic line, "It was obviously self-defense," making it obvious that he was standing by Dexter, especially after everything that had happened to Debra.
For now, we're still completely in the dark about where the story between Dexter and Quinn will go in Season 2. It's also unknown whether their relationship will develop in a similar way to Dexter's reunion with Batista in Season 1.
Some fans couldn't resist asking Harrington for hints about the new season in the comments, but the actor has playfully avoided revealing anything. Still, the new photo has created even more excitement for Season 2 and made the wait for a Dexter and Quinn reunion seem a little... longer!
