A late-night shoot from Week 8 shows an unexpected alliance taking shape, as two key characters are on a mission together.
A newly released Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 set video is here to give us one of the best looks yet at what is currently being filmed in New York City.
More importantly, the footage appears to show Dexter Morgan and Charley Brown working together on a mysterious mission, suggesting even further, that the former rivals will be allies in the upcoming season.
The intriguing sequence was apparently filmed on the same night as recently released set photos featuring Michael C. Hall and Uma Thurman. While those images created plenty of discussion among fans, this new video reveals something even more exciting, which is an actual scene being filmed for Season 2.
The footage, courtesy of Diary of the Stars NY, appears to capture a sequence that could be part of Episode 3 or Episode 4. It begins with a man, potentially in his 40s, exiting an apartment building located at number 67 on a New York City street. After leaving the building, he quickly waves down a taxi and departs the area.
Seconds later, Dexter and Charley rush out from the same building in a hurry. Both characters actually seem alert and careful, briefly looking around before making their next move. Their actions suggest they are trying not to attract attention or make it obvious that they are following someone.
What is even more interesting is what happens next. Instead of leaving together, Dexter and Charley split up while continuing to keep track of the man. Dexter gets into his own vehicle, while Charley drives off in hers. Their cars are parked on opposite sides of the street, and the way they move appears organized and planned, making it look like they in some kind of surveillance operation.

Previous images from the Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 set had already hinted that Dexter and Charley would no longer be enemies. This latest video definitely strengthens that idea and actually gives the strongest indication yet that the two characters will be working closely together for at least part of the season.
Of course, there is still no way to know exactly who the man is or why Dexter and Charley are following him. Whether he is a serial killer, a criminal, or someone connected to a bigger storyline remains unknown.
Even so, the scene raises a few questions... and gives another exciting preview of what's to come in Dexter: Resurrection Season 2. As filming continues across New York City, we can likely expect even more glimpses into what's next in the series.
