Fresh Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 Set Photos Reveal Captain Mixon — And Claudette’s Stunning Glow-Up

More new set pics offer a first look at Captain Mixon, portrayed by Bokeem Woodbine, along with Melvin Oliva and Claudette Wallace’s striking transformation.

April 21 turned out to be an incredibly busy day on the set of Dexter: Resurrection Season 2. With filming taking over the heart of New York City, many new on-set images were posted online, courtesy of Jose Perez/Bauer-Griffin, giving us a closer look at the action unfolding in the Big Apple.

And these weren’t just your typical behind-the-scenes snaps. The photos actually delivered first looks at not one, not two, but six different characters. Harrison Morgan’s shocking transformation inevitably grabbed our attention, while we also caught glimpses of Fiona Mixon, and Dan Stevens, who steps into the role of a creepy new serial killer. But that wasn’t all, as there’s even more to look at.

From the very same filming location, we finally got our first look at one of the newest additions to Season 2, who is also set to be a series regular. Bokeem Woodbine was spotted fully in character as Captain Mixon. Surrounded by extras, cast, and crew, the acclaimed actor was seen in great spirits, and his look actually matches perfectly with the tone of his official character description.

These new images also unveiled an important detail: Captain Mixon leads the NYPD’s 27th precinct, a different division from the one featured in Season 1, where detectives Melvin Oliva and Claudette Wallace were based.

Speaking of Wallace, one of the standout characters from the first season, Kadia Saraf was also spotted filming at the same location alongside her co-star Dominic Fumusa. But this time, something actually felt very different but in a good way.

While Melvin Oliva appears largely unchanged, Claudette Wallace is sporting a striking new look.

Saraf was seen in character wearing a completely different outfit from what we became used to in Season 1. Even more noticeable is her hairstyle, ditching the more conservative police look in favor of a modern style that gives the character a fresh, confident look. In fact, despite the time jump heading into Season 2, Wallace somehow appears more vibrant than ever.

It looks like her memorable dance in the Season 1 finale actually marked a turning point, symbolizing a newfound freedom that’s now reflected in her appearance.

As for what’s happening in these scenes, the set itself gave a few intriguing hints. Filming took place in Midtown Manhattan, where fictional news reporters could be seen gathered outside the police station. That detail is enough to suggest a big development in an ongoing criminal case, and possibly something so serious that it actually draw attention from the media.

Some of the shots from the set include moments of Bokeem Woodbine interacting with director Marcos Siega, as well as Kadia Saraf and Dominic Fumusa posing for photographers, absolutely aware, once again, that all eyes are on them.
