The latest casting calls for the second season are for scenes scheduled for the end of this week and the beginning of next week.
Filming for the second season of Dexter: Resurrection is now at its third straight week, and a new set of casting calls has just been revealed by Waldron Casting for the end of this week and the start of the next. This time around, the applicant categories are a bit more specific than in the earlier calls we covered.
The first casting call is looking for people who use wheelchairs to appear as family members in background roles. This is for the same graduation scene mentioned in recent updates, with filming scheduled for Friday, May 1, in Manhattan. It’s worth pointing out that choosing actors with real disabilities, instead of having others simply sit in wheelchairs, actually shows an obvious effort toward more authentic and inclusive casting.
Another call, which is also non-union like the rest in this update, is focused on people to play photographers and videographers working at that same graduation ceremony on May 1. There are no specific requirements for gender or ethnicity, but applicants should be between 25 and 50 years old. It is a background role, but still a nice opportunity for those looking to get involved in the production. For more info about this specific call, tap here.
The third casting call actually stands out the most, since it points to a scene we haven’t mentioned before here on Dexter Daily. What is more interesting is that it won’t be filmed in New York City. Instead, production will move to Rockland County, about 15 miles northwest of Manhattan.
This call is looking for non-union minors, specifically kids between 3 and 12 years old, to work as background actors. From what we can tell, this could be for a camping-related scene, although there’s no information yet on which characters might be involved. Filming for this one is set for Monday, May 4th.
If you know someone who might actually be interested in taking part in any of these scenes from Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, this is another great chance to get involved. Make sure any submissions are fully completed, since incomplete applications won’t be considered. Good luck to everyone applying!
