A major graduation scene is set to be filmed by the end of next week, and many extras are needed.
Week 3 of production for Dexter: Resurrection is almost here, and three new casting calls have been released by NYC casting agency Waldron Casting. Interestingly, all of these calls are for the same scene, a graduation sequence that is expected to feature important characters.
If you’re actually thinking about applying, there’s one key detail to keep in mind. Like some of the previous casting calls, this one is open to non-union talent. Of course, that means you don’t need to be a professional actor or a member of SAG-AFTRA to take part, making it an amazing opportunity for everyday fans.
The first casting call is for men and women who can portray NYPD cadets, ages 18 to 30. The scene will be filmed mostly outdoors in Manhattan, and production is scheduled for Friday, May 1st. If you’re available that day, it’s worth acting quickly since these spots tend to fill up very fast!
The second call, also for the same graduation scene, is actually looking for non-union men and women to play family members. This one has a much bigger age range, with applicants welcome from 18 all the way up to 90+.
There’s also a third call tied to this scene, specifically seeking persons with Down syndrome to portray family members. It’s a very thoughtful move from the production team and shows a big effort to make the set more inclusive.
As for what this graduation scene might involve, there are already some clues. If you’ve been keeping up with our recent updates on Dexter Daily, you may have seen the set photos and character details pointing to Harrison Morgan and newcomer Fiona Mixon being among the graduates. If that’s the case, which is extremely possible, there’s a strong chance Dexter Morgan/Michael C. Hall, could be part of the scene as well.
All three casting calls are for this same graduation sequence, filming on May 1, 2026. The time to apply is relatively limited, anyone local to New York City or nearby should move quickly. It’s a rare chance not only to appear in Dexter: Resurrection Season 2, but also to potentially be on set with major cast members.
Below, you’ll find everything you need to apply through the official Waldron Casting cards. For cadet roles, use “NU Cadets 5/1” in your submission email. For family member roles, use “NU Family 5/1.” Make sure your application is complete, as Waldron Casting has made it clear time and time again that incomplete submissions won’t be considered.
