Although filming has officially wrapped, we have some updates on new casting additions.
The countdown is on—Dexter: Resurrection premieres in just 20 days, and excitement is reaching a fever pitch. This highly anticipated revival has already generated buzz with its impressive cast, featuring A-list stars like Uma Thurman, Peter Dinklage, and Neil Patrick Harris, who are set to appear either as series regulars or in intriguing guest roles.
But the spotlight doesn’t shine solely on Hollywood heavyweights. Dexter: Resurrection is also welcoming back familiar faces from the original series, as well as introducing a mix of rising talents and lesser-known performers. While the full cast list remains mostly under wraps, a few new names have started to surface.
Filming Wraps, Surprise Cast Members Emerge
Although production officially wrapped this past Tuesday, there are still surprises in store. Several actors with recurring roles have yet to be formally announced by Showtime. Two of them—Darius Jordan Lee and Diego Aguirre—were spotted celebrating at the Dexter: Resurrection wrap party on Thursday night, hinting at their involvement in the upcoming season.
We’ve gathered some photos from the wrap party, which you can check out here.
Who Are They Playing?
Darius Jordan Lee has been confirmed to play Lance Thomas, a character appearing in at least five episodes of Season 1. While details about Lance remain under wraps, his multi-episode arc suggests a significant role in the upcoming storyline.
As for Diego Aguirre, the mystery surrounding his character continues. However, he dropped a subtle hint during the wrap party. On his Instagram Stories, Aguirre teased the characters of NYPD detectives Claudette Wallace (played by Kadia Saraf) and Melvin Oliva (played by Dominic Fumusa), writing:
"You're not ready for Wallace and Oliva. I am. Can't wait to see these two in action."
While Aguirre didn’t clarify his connection to them, it’s clear he’s closely involved with this new detective duo. Could he be part of the NYPD? A suspect? A victim? Time will tell.
More Surprises on the Horizon
With filming wrapped and the premiere fast approaching, it’s unlikely we’ll learn about every actor involved until the show airs. Many background and supporting roles remain unannounced, adding to the mystery and anticipation surrounding the series.
