The Dexter prequel is now filming in Los Angeles.
Not all main cast members are currently in Los Angeles; Christina Milian, who plays the young Maria LaGuerta, is still in Paris, France (her actual hometown) according to her Instagram stories. This raises the question: Will her character be introduced later in the season rather than from the very beginning?
Dexter: Original Sin, the prequel spin-off that follows a young Dexter transitioning into an avenging serial killer, is back in production, this time in LA. Filming originally began in Florida from June 5th to June 15th, where the cast and crew captured authentic Miami vibes by shooting exterior scenes.
During this period, various images from the set emerged, including a first look at Patrick Gibson donning a wig as young Dexter Morgan and glimpses of a young Debra Morgan in a pink dress.
After a nine-day break, production resumed today in Los Angeles, where most of the season will be filmed, primarily in studio. Molly Brown, who portrays the teenage Debra Morgan, shared a behind-the-scenes image earlier today, showcasing her director's chair with her character's name printed on the back, emphasizing her excitement to be part of the Dexter franchise.
