October 30 is going to be a very special day for Michael C. Hall, as two major projects of his are set to be released on the same day.

Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 is set to premiere on the eve of Halloween, which many fans feel is incredibly fitting timing for a series like Dexter. But for Michael C. Hall himself, October 30 holds a special significance for another reason.
The actor has had an incredibly busy 2026 so far, and his schedule hasn't only revolved around filming the second season of Dexter: Resurrection, which just wrapped after months of production. Hall has also been working on another major project, as he's the lead singer of the band Princess Goes.
And on October 30, not only will the new season of Dexter: Resurrection premiere, but Princess Goes will also release its third studio album, fittingly titled 3.
Michael C. Hall’s Double Release Day
While Hall was busy filming Season 2, he was also working alongside his bandmates Matt Katz-Bohen and Peter Yanowitz on the new album, contributing to the songwriting and recording as the band's lead singer.
Of course, this actually raises an interesting question: is the fact that Season 2 and the new album are arriving on the exact same day simply a... coincidence?
It's possible, although the timing is pretty remarkable. The album had to be released on a Friday, as new music is typically released globally on Fridays, while Dexter has also established Friday as its episode release day on Paramount+ since 2024.
Princess Goes announced the release date for 3 on August 13, while Paramount+ revealed nearly a month later that Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 would begin streaming on October 30.
Whether the band specifically planned the album's release around Dexter has not been confirmed. Still, the simultaneous release gives Hall a particularly special day, with two major parts of his creative career arriving at the same time.
The Connection Between Princess Goes and Dexter is Actually Getting Deeper
Since the Dexter: New Blood era in 2021, as well as throughout Season 1 of Dexter: Resurrection, a few Princess Goes songs have been featured in episodes, particularly during the end credits. In some cases, they even replaced the now super famous Blood Theme by Daniel Licht.
With that history, it wouldn't be surprising to hear more of the band's new music during the upcoming 10 episodes of Dexter: Resurrection Season 2. Hall's direct connection to both projects definitely makes the crossover a perfect fit.
Either way, October 30 is shaping up to be one of the most significant days of Michael C. Hall's year, with his highly-anticipated return as Dexter Morgan and the release of Princess Goes' third album happening on the very same day.
