The actor was recently asked to describe the upcoming second season in a single word, and his answer is enough to get fans excited.
As cameras on Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection continue to roll, there are weeks when we get a steady stream of exciting updates from the set, and others that are completely quiet. In some rare occasions, cast members appear at public events during production and share small details about the upcoming season.
That's exactly what happened recently.
During a recent SAG-AFTRA conversation (which you can watch right here) featuring several cast members including Michael C. Hall, the actors whose characters are still alive, were asked to describe Season 2 using just one word. Considering the growing cast now includes Dan Stevens, Brian Cox, Bokeem Woodbine, and many others, it was an interesting question for a group of actors that already knows where the story is actually headed.
Michael C. Hall didn't hesitate. His one-word description of the upcoming season was "bananas," suggesting that viewers can expect some shocking and unpredictable developments when Dexter: Resurrection returns for another 10-episode season.
Jack Alcott on the other hand, looked... hilariously frustrated that Hall stole his answer. Forced to come up with something else, he actually described Season 2 as a complete "clusterf*ck," hinting that things are about to get even more intense for certain characters.
Interestingly, David Zayas, who has already been revealed to appear in Season 2, chose not to answer the question at all, maybe because his involvement has not yet been officially announced by Paramount.
Krysten Ritter also skipped the opportunity to describe the new season. Whether that's because she won't be part of Season 2 or because her involvement remains under wraps is anyone's guess.
Eric Stonestreet, meanwhile, playfully avoided giving an answer by saying, "I was going to say... there's a Season 2?!" It was actually a fun way to avoid confirming his return, despite the fact that a behind-the-scenes photo has already hinted at his involvement.
So what should fans take away from all of this? Simply put, Season 2 of Dexter: Resurrection is apparently going to be "bananas", a word both Michael C. Hall and Jack Alcott seemed eager to use.
And honestly, that shouldn't come as much of a surprise. Everyone's favorite serial killer is expected to face two major villains this season, while some unresolved storylines involving returning characters are still hanging in the balance. If the cast's descriptions are any indication, things will definitely get crazy!
