Christmas is coming in the middle of spring for the new season of Dexter.
Shelburne Falls MA is preparing for Christmas... three months after Christmas, even though we're already in the beginning of spring. According to a report by local website 'GazetteNet', the production crew has begun decorating the storefronts with tinsel on banisters, and the downtown streets and trees with lights, for filming that is scheduled to begin next month in Shelburne Falls.
“We’re very much looking forward to working with the production crew,” said Buckland Town Administrator. “They’ve been really good guests in the village and anticipate that we’ll be seeing a lot more of them in the next couple of weeks.”

After Season 1 and Season 7, this is the third season of Dexter that will take place around Christmas time.

Filming for the show in this particular area is expected to start in early to mid April in Shelburne Falls, according to a spokesperson for Showtime.
Although it was pretty obvious already that the events of the new season will take place mostly in winter, it's good to know the upcoming episodes will take place around Christmas time as well.
