Latest From Watch With Kristin - More Scoop on a New Character

Latest from E!Online's Watch with Kristin column. Hit the jump below to read some new spoilers regarding the new character who joins Dexter on episode 7.06...

David: Counting down the days until Dexter returns. Any info on the new season?
Could a reporter uncover Dexter's dirty little secret? A handsome and very intelligent investigative writer, Jason Price, will be introduced this season, and what do you know, he's also the author of books on murder cases. Jason is extremely charming, so expect him to use that to his advantage.

  1. I love the color of the shirt in the picture.

I really want to know where Dexter gets his shirts - I dress in a similar fashion (button down collar shirts) and I want that shirt!

  2. Wow, walls are closing in. Deb knows, Louis Greene might stalk him and find out, and now this guy might.

    1. That would be an awesome ending... he get's away but everyone knows! That way we get to see the damage - to Angel, Masuka, Cody, Astor - et. and then of course all the controversy.

It also leaves the door open for a movie a few years down the line. I really love that idea of a Silence of the Lambs kinda movie where the FBI reaches out to Dexter to catch a killer they can't catch - maybe they offer him amnesty or something, and then try to double cross him. The possibilities are so rich!

I can just see that scene where the FBI is bringing Dexter in chains and handcuffs and he is guarded by guys with assault rifles as they march him into Miami metro to look at the evidence, and the expressions on the faces of all his former co-workers after the years have passed. Especially if Deb and Dex have gone on to live a happy life with children and all of that, it would SO piss off everyone - they'd just hate him, but then they have to work with him and they finally see just how brilliant and crazy he really is. :)

Yea, I'd love that - I'd be lined up for tickets to that movie.

    2. Yeah, I've been starting to think that for awhile now. He and Deb on the run to end it. She'll now be a part of it. Not sure if he'd bring Harrison. Maybe he'd leave him with Astor, Cody, and grandparents. Not the life he'd want for his son.

    3. Yes, an open ending would be best for that series.

  6. Yeah, everyone seems to have the right idea. After Season 7, there's only 1 conflict left and it's what Dex will do when he's caught on a large public scale. I'm thinking Laguerta and this new reporter solving the BHB. I'm also thinking Louis will figure it out, but he's going to side with Dex.

    1. He won't get caught! And Lagurta ain't gonna live through this season.

      I can dream at least.

    3. Deb should do the honors.

      That would be awesome.

    4. I would honestly prefer the romcom ending where we're left with a shot of Deb and Dexter in the park with Harrison and a new toddler named Harry. But that's me and I'm a sucker.

    5. Hopefully, they'd choose a different name than Harry with him having a kid named Harrison already though haha. I wouldn't mind that ending though.

I think they'd want to end it with a bang and floor us though.

    6. I just now realized I said though way too many times lol.

    7. Yup you're probably right. I was thinking Brian first but Deb might disagree. :)

    8. Hm... she did only know him as Rudy haha.

    9. She keeps calling him Rudy, but the entire MMPD found out his real name was Brian Moser when they checked his fingerprints in 1x12.

And what about a girl as second child?

PS: Why do you Americans always have to name your children after your father/grandfather/... (Deb herself suggested in season 3 to name the baby Debra if it was a girl)?

    10. I'm not American. I just thought it was fitting. Personally I wouldn't do that, I'm stuck with the ugliest middle name in the world god damnit..

    11. She knew him as Rudy. That's all that matters. No reason for her to call him anything other than that.

  7. Dex/Deb's kid will be a girl called Laura D. Morgan

When she get's older she will fall in love with her half brother Harrison.

Then people will really have something to bitch about!

    Hehe...
