Michael C. Hall to star in "The Dead Circus"

Looks like Michael C. Hall will be busy this summer filming both Dexter and this new movie, The Dead Circus. The film adaptation of John Kaye’s novel The Dead Circus is about to get rolling, with producers eyeing a summer start date. The film stars James Marsden, Melissa Leo, and Michael C. Hall and tells a fictious story based on the non-ficticious death of singer Bobby Fuller. Hall will play a corrupt, wheelchair-bound manager of the dead musician.

POLL: Which was your Favorite Third Episode of a Season?

Sunday Poll: Which is your favorite third episode of a season? Vote below!

Season 1 Episode 3: Dexter's on the trail of a recently released murderer who plans to kill again when he's sidetracked by the Ice Truck Killer's latest crime - a cut-up hooker found in a hockey ice rink.

Season 2 Episode 3: Dexter sets his sights on a new victim: a murderer, so repulsive, it seems only fitting that he's a used-car salesman. Dexter almost admires the man, though, for his smooth-talking charm and effortless lying, which Dexter knows he lacks himself these days. Dexter's been unable to lie to Rita about his midnight activities, which has her thinking that he's a drug addict. She's threatened to leave him if he doesn't commit to a 12-step program to deal with his supposed addiction. While in this recovery, though, Dexter meets a sexy, mysterious woman named Lila.

Season 3 Episode 3: After Dexter meets a pedophile at the grocery store, who's set his sights on Astor, he has to make a decision about his code. Miguel and Dexter both know the new body that showed up skinned wasn't Freebo's doing, and need to find a way to convince the Homicide Squad. Dexter is still wrestling with his potential role in the baby's life.

Season 4 Episode 3: Dexter's neighborhood gets vandalized. The Trinity Killer strikes again, Debra questions her relationship with Anton as she spends more time with Lundy, and LaGuerta and Batista's relationship gets complicated.

Season 5 Episode 3: Dexter tries to hire a nanny for Harrison so that he can continue his "extracurricular activities." Meanwhile, Debra is paired with a rookie detective on a double homicide and Quinn starts to piece similarities together between Dexter and his alias, Kyle Butler, a suspect in the ongoing Trinity Killer investigation.

Michael C. Hall talks Dexter

Michael C Hall talked about Dexter on expressbuzz.com. Read the interview below.

How did Dexter happen and why did you take it up?

I took a couple of weeks to think about it before I agreed to do it. I had just finished a television series that lasted for five years and I knew it was an open-ended commitment I was making. The character was something that would require a great deal of focus and energy. Also when I first saw Dexter on paper, I thought huh, how? How? How do I approach this? So I took some time just to think about those kinds of questions. I didn’t just jump right on board, I took some time to think about it, but ultimately the challenges of the character and the challenges as an actor the character presented, and the people

I would be working with, some of whom I’d worked with on ‘Six Feet Under’, all together allowed me to make the leap of faith. Read more after the jump...

Julie Benz: "I don't know one actor who'd want to be taken off a show like Dexter"

New interview with Julie on tvsquad.com: The day started with Julie Benz in all her hotness; she was as radiant and engaging as fans would expect, despite not knowing whether 'No Ordinary Family' will be renewed next season. "We haven't heard anything official. The official word will be out in May," she confirmed. "But it's not a good sign when the network starts moving your show around."

With three episodes remaining this season, she's referring to the second-to-last episode, which will be moving to Saturday, March 26, at 10PM before the season finale the following Tuesday at the regular 8PM time slot. Never good news, but you could tell it was particularly hard on Benz, whose shocking departure from 'Dexter' is still fresh in her mind.

"I don't know one actor who'd want to be taken off a show like that. It was not my choice and they told me an hour before they put out the script. Thank god I didn't have too much time to think about it because I loved playing Rita. I loved working with Michael C. Hall, Jennifer Carpenter, and I loved the producers and the writers. We were very much a family."

The hardest thing for her was keeping it a secret from that family in the final ten days of shooting. "It was hard just going to work. I would have moments where I would sit at home and confront the fact that I wasn't going to be playing Rita anymore. There were a lot of tears and a lot of alcohol. In the final scene, they told the crew an hour before we went to shoot it, so big burly grips started crying. I'd have scenes with Michael where I'd look at him and just start crying for no reason." Interview: Michael C. Hall Talks about Dexter Season 6 and Peep World

We may never see an Arrested Development movie in our lifetime. Thankfully, Barry W. Blaustein has made Peep World, an ensemble comedy about an uproariously demented and out-of-touch family that gives the Bluth clan a run for its money. In the film, dysfunctional siblings Sarah Silverman, Rainn Wilson, and Michael C. Hall overreact when their youngest brother (Ben Schwartz) writes a tell-all book about the family's dirtiest secrets. We spoke to Hall about awkward dinner parties, Hitler fascinations, and the next season of Dexter.

Q: Dexter is must-see television for so many people. What's must-see TV for you?

A: I watch a lot of sports on TV. As far as series go, I often catch up with stuff. I just picked up all of the DVDs of Breaking Bad, which I haven't seen yet. I'm looking forward to doing a marathon of that. Just recently, I made my way through The Wire well after the fact. That show is mind-blowing. The expansiveness of their storytelling is just unbelievable, and I think Omar is one of the greatest characters in the history of television.

Q: Is the upcoming Dexter season going to be your last?

A: I can't say for sure, but probably not. [Laughs] Read more after the jump...

Julia Stiles is about to star on a new movie named Seconds of Happiness. The frame of the narrative takes place on an airplane and examines the interconnecting lives of various passengers through vignettes. Clearly, this will be just like Lost.
That maybe means that Julia is not coming back for the sixth season of Dexter.

Michael C. Hall Named Ambassador For Cancer Charity

Michael C. Hall may play a serial killer on the hit show Dexter, but now he’s starring in a new role: lead Ambassador for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society’s (LLS) 2011 Light The Night Walks.

The Light The Night Walk is the largest cancer fundraiser night walk in the country, attracting over 250,000 participants to help raise funds for high-impact cancer research and crucial patient services. Hall, who is in remission for Hodgkin’s lymphoma, is encouraging people to walk in support of this important cause.

“The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society pours a tremendous amount of money directly into cutting-edge cancer research— research that I’ve certainly benefited from,” Hall stated. “It’s an organization that you can be confident is at the forefront of moving things forward.”

The 40-year-old actor also lent his award-winning skills to a new PSA campaign called “Walk As if Your Life Depended on It.” The video was produced and directed by filmmaker, Jesse Dylan, and in the short Hall shares experiences from his personal battle with lymphoma.

“We are so grateful for Michael C. Hall’s participation in this year’s Light The Night fundraiser for The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society,” said LLS’s chief marketing and revenue officer, Nancy L. Klein. “His empowering message inspires us and strengthens our dedication to help patients live longer, better lives.”

LLS is the single largest nonprofit contributor to blood cancer research, and provides more than $20 million in financial aid and co-pay assistance to cancer patients every year. Pretty amazing!

The PSA has yet to hit the web, but when it does we’ll keep you posted. And if you want to be like Dexter, you can find out more about participating in a Light The Night Walk here!
