Michael C. Hall Spotted in Ambulance on Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 Set

Recent set images from Week 21 of filming show Michael C. Hall between takes during a scene that also featured three other main cast members.

The 21st week of production for Dexter: Resurrection was another very eventful one, with hundreds of images and videos from the Season 2 set appearing online and featuring various cast and crew members.

While much of the attention was focused on Times Square, which was partially closed for two consecutive days for filming, another scene was filmed a day earlier on Roosevelt Island that fans are still trying to unpack. And the details coming from that set location point to a change in Dexter’s direction.

The center of attention was, (unsurprisingly) Michael C. Hall, who was actually spotted between takes in character as Dexter Morgan by paparazzo Joze Perez.

Hall was casually dressed in a regular black polo shirt, but what immediately caught our attention was the ambulance nearby. In some of the photos, Dexter can even be seen sitting in the driver's seat, suggesting that he may actually be driving it.

This could be another hint that Dexter has briefly taken on yet another new job in the upcoming second season of Dexter: Resurrection. A few weeks ago, he was spotted working another rather unexpected job that brought back some nostalgia from the good-old Miami days.

A Noticeable Set Detail Has Some Fans Concerned

While Hall was seen alongside an older man sitting in a wheelchair, another detail stood out to those watching closely. Dexter had a visible bruise on the top-right side of his forehead. That could suggest that something troubling happened to him shortly before this scene. Whether the injury was caused by an accident, a fight, or something else entirely remains unknown for now.

What makes it even more interesting is that the same injury was also visible in photos from the Times Square filming. However, it appeared to be smaller in those images, which would actually make sense since the events of the Times Square scene took place a day or two later.

Going back to the August 31 scene on Roosevelt Island, Michael C. Hall was far from the only familiar face spotted on set.

In fact, James Remar was there as Harry Morgan, while Kadia Saraf, who plays Detective Claudette Wallace, and Jack Alcott, who plays Harrison Morgan, were also present. The latter two were both dressed in their NYPD outfits, suggesting that Harrison and Detective Wallace were on duty during the scene. Director Marcos Siega was also on location, coordinating the filming.

Is Dexter Using an Ambulance to Get to the New York Ripper?

There could also be a connection between Dexter's ambulance appearance and Brian Cox's Don Framt, the New York Ripper.

The presence of the older man in the wheelchair is actually interesting here. One possibility is that Dexter could be disguised as an EMT or another ambulance worker, allowing him to get closer to Don Framt and ultimately take out the notorious serial killer.

That theory would also make sense if Don Framt is dealing with some kind of health issue at this point in the story, especially since these scenes appear to come from the final episodes of the season.

Of course, that's only speculation based on what we've seen from the set so far, but the pieces are interesting enough to connect. As for why Harrison and Detective Wallace were also involved, that is a puzzle we may have to wait until Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 actually airs to solve.
