After Jennifer Carpenter and Erik King, the actors behind Rita and Angel are also joining the OG Dexter lineup.
A major Dexter reunion is taking shape in Liverpool, UK, as even more stars from the original series are confirmed to appear at Comic Con Liverpool 2026. Following the recent news that Erik King and Jennifer Carpenter will attend the event, two more familiar faces have now joined them: David Zayas and Julie Benz.
That brings the total to four major stars from the OG Dexter series attending the same convention, giving British fans, as well as fans traveling from nearby countries, a rare opportunity to meet some of the most beloved actors from the show.
Julie Benz, who played Rita Morgan throughout the early seasons of Dexter, announced her participation on Instagram with a very well-produced reel, in which she also teased some exciting surprises for fans attending the convention.
In the video, Benz directly addressed fans in Liverpool and revealed that she will be joined by Jennifer Carpenter, David Zayas, and Erik King.
"If you've ever wondered what happens when Rita, Deb, Batista, and Doakes all end up in the same room, this is your chance. Expect some Miami Metro stories, some Dexter secrets, Doakes-level suspicion, Deb-level language, and me, just trying to keep everybody civilized."
Seeing all four of them together at the same event is actually something Dexter fans probably didn't expect to get nearly two decades after the original series premiered. Comic Con Liverpool 2026 is scheduled to take place on October 10 and 11, and the Dexter reunion will be just one part of what is expected to be a packed weekend for fans.
The convention will also feature stars from other major franchises, including key cast members from Game of Thrones, making it one of the biggest fan events in Europe this fall.
The timing of the Dexter reunion is also very interesting. Comic Con Liverpool will take place during the same week as some major events surrounding the 20th anniversary of Dexter and the Season 2 premiere of Dexter: Resurrection.
This means that October is actually shaping up to be one of the biggest weeks in Dexter history in a very long time.
