Fresh set images from September 1 show the season’s leading actors together between takes in Times Square.

Week 21 of filming for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 is officially underway, and the first day of September has already brought us some exciting new set images.
Courtesy of paparazzo Jose Perez and the Bauer-Griffin photo agency, the latest photos feature Uma Thurman back on the set as Charley Brown. Most notably, this actually is the first time the actress has been photographed filming the show in three months.
And there is another detail that makes this sighting even more interesting. Thurman was seen alongside Michael C. Hall once again, just like the last time she was photographed on the Dexter: Resurrection set back on June 2.
So, after three full months without seeing her on set, is it safe to assume that Charley had been absent from production all this time? Not necessarily.
Actors can be involved in a production for months without being spotted by paparazzi, especially when they are filming indors or on closed sets. Still, this latest sighting gives us a few very interesting things to think about when it comes to Charley's role in Season 2.
Charley Brown Is Still Alive
First, and most importantly, this can definitely be considered a spoiler: Charley is still alive. Her absence from set photos over the past few months may have led some fans to wonder whether Uma Thurman's character had been killed off. These new images, however, actually confirm that Charley is alive and well.
And because we are now in September, these scenes are very likely from one of the final episodes of the season, meaning either Episode 9 or Episode 10. That alone makes this new sighting especially intriguing.
Charley Is Out in Times Square
Another interesting detail is where Charley was spotted. At this point in the story, she could be considered a wanted woman by both the police and the FBI because of her direct involvement with billionaire Leon Prater.
Prater has gone from being presented as a wealthy philanthropist to being exposed as a serial killer supporter and funder, while also being responsible for the murder of retired Miami Metro Captain Angel Batista. And... Charley was famously his right-hand woman.
Because of that, it would be reasonable to expect that everyone connected to Prater, including Charley, could now be under serious investigation. Yet here she is, out in Times Square, one of the busiest and most recognizable locations in New York City.
What exactly she is doing there though, remains a mystery. The new photos show Michael C. Hall and Uma Thurman both in character, as you can see in the image at the top of this article.
They were also photographed out of character in their casual clothes before heading to their trailers to change into their costumes for filming, as you can actually see in the image right below:
There is also a fun detail involving Thurman's look. Even though Charley's Season 2 hairstyle actually matches Uma Thurman's real hair length, the actress is once again wearing a wig for the role. In the image, you can see Thurman without the wig, hanging out with Michael C. Hall before the makeup and hair team transformed her back into Charley.
Alongside Hall and Thurman, some familiar faces from behind the scenes were also spotted on set, including showrunner Clyde Phillips, writer Scott Reynolds and director Marcos Siega. No other recognizable cast members were seen with them.
As we continue to wait for the official trailer, seeing Uma Thurman back on the Dexter: Resurrection set is definitely something exciting.
More importantly, it creates even more questions about what Charley has been doing, where she has been hiding (if she really was hiding) and what her role will be in the final episodes of Season 2.
