Based on this recently released image, all signs point to another figure now knowing that Dexter is the Bay Harbor Butcher.

It is true that, over the 20 years since the original series debuted, very few people Dexter knew and grew close to ever learned the truth about him being a serial killer. At one point in the story, his biggest secret was exposed, but James Doakes was framed for it, and the whole situation led to the infamous name of “The Bay Harbor Butcher.”
While Dexter: Resurrection revealed that Angel Batista was the most recent person to discover who Dexter really is, and that he tried unsuccessfully to clear Doakes’ name, it now looks like Season 2 could actually have yet another character learning the truth.
This time, however, it could be very different.
Mia Lapierre May Learn Dexter’s Biggest Secret
More specifically, a new batch of official stills from various episodes of Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 has given us the first (official) look at Krysten Ritter’s return as Mia Lapierre, and there is one specific detail that definitely stands out if you look closely enough.
It appears that Lady Vengeance could potentially learn the whole truth about Dexter Morgan.
And that detail is none other than the blood slide she is seen holding.
In the photo, Dexter and Mia are actually sitting next to each other and having a conversation inside Dexter’s basement apartment. There are also two glasses of whiskey on the table, suggesting that the two may be sharing a friendly, or perhaps even romantic, moment in the flesh.
Dexter appears to be smirking as he watches Mia hold one of his trophies. This means that not only Lady Vengeance is back, but Dexter may somehow decide that telling her his biggest secret is a good idea.

Of course, there is enough context from Season 1 that actually makes this development even more surprising. When Mia Lapierre was eventually found “dead” in her prison cell, she had no idea who Dexter really was. In fact, she did not even know his real name. Dexter had been prepared to tell her while on their last date, but his plans immediately changed after she revealed that she did not follow a code and killed men just for fun.
That raises a very big question going into Season 2.
Is It Really a Good Idea for Dexter to Tell Mia the Truth?
This is probably the biggest question surrounding the blood-slide reveal.
Considering what happened to Lady Vengeance in Season 1 because of Dexter, this latest development could be taking the story into some very dangerous territory.
Dexter turned Mia over to the police in an attempt to stop her from killing innocent men, and to clear his son’s name, which ultimately led to her imprisonment. We still do not know whether Mia has connected the dots and realized that Dexter, or “Red,” was responsible for what happened to her.
But if she does figure that out while also discovering that Dexter is the Bay Harbor Butcher, that could definitely spell big trouble for our favorite antihero and even Harrison.
