An interesting camping scene set outside New York City is scheduled for May 4th.
The third week of filming wraps today, highlighted by a pretty intriguing graduation scene set in the heart of Manhattan. As production heads into its fourth consecutive week, new casting calls have started becoming available online, inviting people to join as extras.
One of the latest calls is for a scene scheduled to shoot on Monday, May 4, likely for Episode 1 or Episode 2 of Season 2. What actually stands out is the location, since unlike previous casting notices for the upcoming season, this one is not set in New York City itself, but just outside the Big Apple in Rockland County, approximately 15 miles northwest of Manhattan.
According to the listing from Waldron Casting, both SAG-AFTRA actors and non-union performers are being sought to portray campers. The call is seperated in two categories. SAG-AFTRA people are needed to play camping parents and general campers, open to any gender, between the ages of 25 and 55.
For non-union performers, the production is looking for adult campers with vehicles, with no specific age range beyond that requirement.
One important condition for both categories is that anyone applying must not have previously worked on Dexter: Resurrection.
These notices actually follow a recent casting call we covered here on Dexter Daily for the same date, location, and scene, which was seeking non-union minors between the ages of 3 and 12 to appear as background actors.
The scene itself is confirmed to be set during spring within the show’s timeline, which of course lines up with the current season in real life. As usual, there are no details yet about the storyline or which characters might be involved, something that leaves room for speculation.
If you’re interested in taking part, you can find all the submission details through the official listings. SAG-AFTRA actors applying for camping parent and general camper roles can check the dedicated casting page here, while non-union performers interested in appearing as campers with vehicles can tap here. Good luck!
