Watch Michael C. Hall Sing a Stunning Acoustic Version of His Band’s New Single ‘Stranger’

Following the recent song release, Princess Goes shared a video of the Dexter star performing a stunning acoustic version.

Michael C. Hall has proven time and time again over the past few decades just how multitalented he is. Beyond his incredible acting skills, he’s also an outstanding singer. Fans already know his soothing voice from the inner monologues in Dexter, but Hall’s vocal talent actually goes far beyond that.

Over the years, he’s shown off his singing abilities in several musical projects, and even during his breakout role in Six Feet Under, there were a number of... absurd but memorable moments that gave him the chance to showcase that side of his talent.

Since 2018, Hall has been part of the band Princess Goes alongside musicians Matt Katz-Bohen and Peter Yanowitz. The band is set to release its third album in the coming months, and just days ago they dropped the first single, “Stranger.”

The track actually carries a message that resonates with many people. In a recent interview, Hall explained that “Stranger” is about meeting one another with curiosity and kindness.

Even while juggling intense five day a week filming for Dexter: Resurrection in New York City, Hall and his bandmates still found time to record an acoustic version of the song. Filmed in a simple apartment setting with a camera placed in the corner, the video captures Hall doing something he loves: singing.

As part of the promotion for “Stranger,” Princess Goes shared this stripped-down performance featuring Hall singing the song in the most raw and simple way possible. This also works as a reminder of just how beautiful his natural voice really is. In the band’s more heavily produced tracks, some listeners assume autotune is involved to improve his voice, but that’s far from the truth, and this video actually proves it.
