We finally have our first unofficial look at two cast members from Dexter: Resurrection Season 2!
Week one of filming is officially underway, and this time the wait for a first look thankfully didn’t last long. Unlike last year, when set images from Dexter: Resurrection Season 1 surfaced three weeks after production began, the first photos from Season 2 have already arrived, and they’re fresh straight from the set.
Captured by photographer Jose Perez and photo agency Bauer-Griffin, who return once again to document the action in New York City, these early shots give us our first glimpse at Michael C. Hall and James Remar back in character as Dexter Morgan and Harry Morgan.
The images are spoiler-free, which is refreshing for some people out there, and show the two actors in between takes, sharing a relaxed conversation. It’s a very nice thing to see for every longtime fan, especially seeing Hall and Remar together again after portraying their iconic roles for nearly two decades. Additional shots actually place them inside Dexter’s car, which remains unchanged from Season 1, the blue Kia Optima LX.
Surrounded by a busy crew, director Marcos Siega, helming Episode 1, which is currently in production, is also spotted on set, guiding the actors through the scene. Filming is confirmed to be taking place in downtown Manhattan, and in a small but also interesting detail, Remar is seen sitting in the backseat in some shots rather than the passenger seat.
Another detail some of you will likely notice is the continuity when it comes to wardrobe. Remar is actually wearing the same outfit seen in Season 1 (light blue shirt paired with olive pants) while Hall seems to have swapped Dexter’s dark gray shirt for a dark blue one, a change that kind of matches with the color of his car.
