It’s a significant day for the cast, crew, and fans of Dexter: Resurrection. The cameras have officially started rolling!
Today’s the day. Filming for Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 has officially begun, with returning cast members and new faces arriving on set to kick off one of the most anticipated seasons yet. Among those marking the occasion is none other than director Marcos Siega, who is back behind the camera for a second season in a row.
What actually makes this start even more amazing, is the timing. It has been exactly 300 days since cameras last rolled on Dexter: Resurrection, following the Season 1 wrap on June 17, 2025.
After that long wait, Michael C. Hall and the rest of the cast have officially stepped back into their roles, beginning work on a new season whose storyline still remains tightly under wraps.
Production is also making history in New York. The series becomes the first to lease space at the brand-new Sunset Pier 94 Studios in Manhattan, where several recurring interior scenes will be filmed.
To celebrate the milestone, Marcos Siega shared some interesting behind-the-scenes photos from Episode 1 of Dexter: Resurrection Season 2. The episode, which is set to premiere sometime in October 2026 is directed by Siega himself and written by Clyde Phillips and Scott Reynolds.
