A photo double for one of the series leads is now being sought, in a significant step toward Season 2.
After weeks of silence when it comes to concrete Dexter: Resurrection Season 2 updates, the time has finally come for the first exciting piece of news in while, that officially signals the beginning of production preparations for the next chapter. And that news is, of course, the very first casting call for Season 2!
With filming set to begin in less than 50 days, and the Dexter: Resurrection writers room in Los Angeles making massive progress, the focus is now toward pre-production for the new season, which as you might already know, will once again take place in New York City. Among the earliest steps in that process is none other than the search for photo doubles.
The first casting call for a photo double (a person who temporarily takes the place of an actor for technical as well as visual purposes) was announced Tuesday through Waldron Casting, the New York–based agency that actually handled the majority of background casting for Season 1. After their terrific work on the first season, Paramount has once again trusted them with casting responsibilities.
When it comes to specifics, Waldron Casting is searching for a Caucasian male with red hair in a darker auburn shade. The individual must be in his 40s or 50s. Because this is a photo double role, the height requirements have to be precise, so applicants have to be between 5’10” and 6’0” (1.78 to 1.82 meters).
While it hasn’t been officially confirmed which actor this visual placeholder will be representing, all available details definitely point toward a photo double for Michael C. Hall’s Dexter Morgan. The casting call also indicates that the selected individual will be needed for at least four months during Dexter: Resurrection’s filming schedule in New York City.
