After a long wait, it’s finally confirmed that the first season of Dexter: Resurrection will be arriving on physical media soon.
We’re now three months past the end of Dexter: Resurrection Season 1, and it feels like the perfect moment to share some good news. The acclaimed first season is officially getting a Blu-ray and DVD release, something many fans weren’t sure would happen under the new Paramount+ leadership. Despite the early concerns, physical media is still very much alive for the franchise, just as we reported several weeks ago.
The debut season brought Michael C. Hall back as Dexter Morgan, continuing the story that began in Dexter: New Blood in 2021. Familiar faces returned to the fold, including David Zayas, James Remar and Jack Alcott, something that created a sense of continuity that longtime viewers definitely appreciated. The season also welcomed Peter Dinklage and Uma Thurman, whose performances actually added an extra layer of weight and intrigue to the narrative.
Along with the official announcement, we also got a first look at the Blu-ray and DVD covers (see above!), plus early details on pricing and release timing. Both versions use the same key art, a contrast to what Paramount did with Dexter: Original Sin, where the artwork differed between formats. It is still not specified whether we're getting a special steelbook version or not.
The Season 1 Blu-ray and DVD will arrive on Tuesday, February 17, 2026. Pre-orders are already open, with the Blu-ray priced at $36.99 and the DVD at $31.99. Each edition includes three discs with a total runtime of 8 hours and 33 minutes. Extras haven’t been confirmed yet, so we’ll have to wait a bit longer to learn what bonus content might be included.
Are you thinking about adding this one to your collection?
