The Dexter: Resurrection trailer is drawing strong numbers as anticipation keeps building.
May 31st marked a monumental day for Dexter fans, as a major promotional event took place in Mexico City featuring key cast and crew members of the upcoming sequel series, Dexter: Resurrection. The event not only celebrated the legacy of the franchise but also served as the official launch platform for the highly anticipated revival. As a highlight, both the official trailer and poster for Dexter: Resurrection were unveiled, igniting a wave of excitement across the fandom.
With fewer than 40 days remaining until Dexter: Resurrection premieres on Paramount+ with Showtime, anticipation is reaching fever pitch.
The official trailer is already making waves online. On Showtime's official Dexter YouTube channel alone, the trailer has amassed an impressive 4.5 million views. When combining the numbers from other platforms—such as Instagram, TikTok, Facebook, and X (formerly Twitter)—as well as reposts from fan accounts and media outlets, total viewership skyrockets to an estimated 70 million views just four days after its release.
Momentum continues to build daily, and all signs point to Dexter: Resurrection becoming one of the most talked-about TV events of the year.
Further fueling the buzz, Showtime updated its social media presence on Tuesday, replacing the Dexter: Original Sin branding—featuring a scarlet and purple color scheme—with the official Dexter: Resurrection logo. This marks the first major visual shift in over six months and signals the start of the final promotional push ahead of the show’s debut.
Interestingly, the new promotional design opts for a cleaner, more minimalist look. The dominant light blue color is a notable departure from the dramatic hues of Original Sin and draws nostalgic parallels to the iconic Dexter Season 2 poster, evoking a sense of familiarity while setting the stage for a fresh chapter in the saga.
