Six Episodes Into Dexter: Original Sin – Does the Prequel Meet or Exceed Your Expectations So Far? (Poll)

How are you enjoying Dexter: Original Sin Season 1 so far?

We’ve officially reached the halfway point of Dexter: Original Sin! With six out of ten episodes now available to stream on Paramount+ with Showtime, fans are eagerly discussing what’s happened so far and what’s still to come. It's also been a month since the prequel series premiered, and the season finale is exactly one month away!

Set 15 years before the events of the original Dexter series, in 1991 Miami, Dexter: Original Sin introduces a 20-year-old Dexter Morgan (played by Patrick Gibson) beginning his life as an avenging serial killer, guided by his father Harry (Christian Slater). This fresh installment offers a thrilling look at Dexter's early days, blending his career at Miami Metro with his dark, secret life.

As we approach the end of the season, a lot has already unfolded. Dexter is grappling with his dual life, balancing his work at Miami Metro with his hidden darker urges. Meanwhile, a 17-year-old Deb (Molly Brown) feels invisible and rebellious, and Harry struggles with his health and Dexter's dark tendencies.

The show has also introduced a mysterious new antagonist – a traditional Dexter-style big bad whose identity remains a secret, reminiscent of seasons one and eight of the original series. Fans are buzzing with theories about who the kidnapper could be, and many suspect even the seemingly kind characters may have hidden motives.

With just a month left until the season finale (and a one-week hiatus in between), now is the perfect time for fans to weigh in! How are you enjoying Dexter: Original Sin Season 1 so far? Does it meet or exceed your expectations? Cast your vote in our poll below and don’t forget to participate in our Instagram poll too!
