Father and Son Reunion: Jack Alcott and Michael C. Hall Reunite at Dexter: Original Sin Premiere

A 'father and son' reunion unfolded last night in New York City.

Dexter: Original Sin debuts on Paramount+ with Showtime in just a few hours, and to celebrate the occasion, the cast and crew of the Dexter franchise gathered for a special event at the SVA Theatre in the heart of NYC.

One notable attendee was Jack Alcott, who portrayed teenage Harrison Morgan in the 2021-2022 miniseries Dexter: New Blood. This marks Alcott’s first public appearance at a Dexter-related event in nearly three years, following the divisive finale of the 10-episode series, which aired on Showtime in January 2022.

In the months since the sequel concluded, Clyde Phillips and other producers have expressed interest in continuing Harrison's story in a new series. Early discussions included the possibility of a Dexter: New Blood Season 2 or a spin-off with a different title. However, it seems the idea of a Harrison-centered series has been shelved—perhaps permanently. Instead, the network, Phillips, and Michael C. Hall have opted to move forward with a new storyline in which Dexter survives the near-fatal gunshot inflicted by Harrison at the end of New Blood.

Could Jack Alcott’s appearance at the red carpet premiere of Dexter: Original Sin hint at Harrison Morgan's return in the upcoming series, Dexter: Resurrection? The answer will be revealed soon.

In the meantime, take a look at some images of the cast from last night’s red carpet event. All photos are courtesy of photographers Dimitrios Kambouris, Kristina Bumphrey, and Dia Dipasupil, via Getty Images.
