The writer and producer teases a cryptic update about scouting locations for the sequel.
Pre-Production on the eagerly anticipated follow-up to Dexter: New Blood is starting to ramp up. Early this morning, Executive Producer & Writer, Scott Reynolds, posted the following tease to his X (formerly Twitter) account:
“Scouting in gloomy NYC. It’s gorgeous out here.”

The post included this overcast photo of the New York City skyline with a group of people in the foreground. While this is not 100% confirmed, given what we know about the project and Scott’s involvement, it is a safe bet that the team was on location to scout filming locations for ‘Dexter: Resurrection’ which is expected to begin filming next month!
Details about this project remain scarce at this point but we expect that to change in the coming weeks. This small glimpse into the process suggests that the story will at least partially take place in New York City; An exciting change of venue for the series that I expect will feel like a mix of New Blood’s winter vibe with the big city scale of the original series.
If you recall, the first official trailer for Original Sin confirmed the direct connection to Resurrection and gave us our first glimpse of new footage featuring Michael C. Hall. On top of that, some early casting rumors have begun to swirl with Gillian Anderson and Peter Dinklage supposedly in talks to join the cast.
Stay tuned to Dexter Daily as we intend to bring you every detail surrounding this production as they become available.
