*MUST SEE*: World renowned photographer Howard Schatz sits down with actor Michael C. Hall to gain insight on his career and what he loves about the trade. Get a behind-the-scenes glimpse at his photoshoot for Howard's "In Character" series.
Michael C. Hall is best known for his roles as Dexter on the Showtime series of the same name, as well as David Fisher in HBO's Six Feet Under. Other credits include the movie Gamer, Peep World, and the upcoming Kill Your Darlings. See the great video below!
He looks so old and tired in this piece? What is going on? I did not like this much.. But it does show how great he is as an actor, so easily switching charade
ReplyDeleteOld and tired? Really? How interesting. I think he looks profoundly attractive. And real. His imperfections are perfect ;)
DeleteI love him with a beard. I love him without a beard. I love him when he's acting. I love him when he's not acting. I just love him. Sigh.
I really have to get over this. I mean, really? What is the point?!
On a serious note, how curious and spellbinding it is to see him slip into characters so far removed from his past roles. 'The Actor' is a delightfully enchanting creature. I wonder what the real man behind the charade is really like? I guess we'll never know. And that is how it should be.
Good video. Thanks for posting it.
I was gonna joke around a little but then I remembered the scary NOTE. So I'll just say. Oh stop it you. :D
DeleteThe note is much less scary than some of the posts that were going around!
DeleteI was too afraid to dip my toe in the water! So am grateful for the calm. :)
On behave of us 40ish bearded guys... hey, cut us a break!
Hey, it's anon 6.29 here...
DeletePatrick, I can't stop. I'm beyond help. Even the white coats don't know what to do.
9.54 Personally, I love a 40ish man with a beard. It's very manly. And it feels good on my skin :)
Mr Hall looks arty/alternative, mature, and outright sexy with a beard. A ridiculously handsome, distinguished thespian. Damn truth. As I see it.
Sorry, Patrik, I spelt your name wrong above. Tsk. That's really annoying. I so dislike it when people spell my name wrong.
DeleteYeah, chicks dig the extra fuzz.
DeleteEdit: If it's on the face, that is.
DeleteI think he looks tired due to the set of Kill Your Darling which were excausting for him.
ReplyDeleteSheer brilliance. Love the new look, as well. Stunning.
ReplyDeletewho was that:D
ReplyDeleteLol those pics are awesome. Will definetly find a way to use them. :D
ReplyDeletehahahaha
DeleteI love Michael C. Hall, but he really should shawe.. he looks about 10 years older than without beard.
ReplyDeleteLooks more intriguing with the beard, darker.
ReplyDeletehe is such unsympathetic with the beard... looks like an unpleasant insidious homeless lol
DeleteI disagree. Although i don't necessarily find the description you gave unappealing.
DeleteDamn straight! I wish I could grow an equally awesome beard. :(
Delete:) it's very edgy.
DeleteLove this video needle. Glad to see you are back
DeleteHey, there, buddy...Such a hippy mood in here. Doesn't fit the nature of the show. :P hahah Just kidding. The video is Michael at his best, quite frankly. Loved it. :)
DeleteTHIS VIDEO IS TOO MUCH!!!!

ReplyDeleteI love how he adds a little bit of dark comedy to his acting, this is why he deserves more Emmies than what he has won so far!
ReplyDeleteStop hating on the beard people. It looks very distinguished. He looks like a Lord. He's also so werewolf-ish. I'd like to see him play either of those things.
ReplyDeleteWerewolf-ish! :D Yeah, I felt there was something interesting about his new look that I couldn't name and that's it - he now looks kinda like a werewolf, LOL
DeleteBtw thanks for the video. Really proves how great actor MCH is.
Everything is ginger-bearded MCH and nothing hurts.
ReplyDeleteI think MCH can pull off both looks, probably because he keeps his beard free of twigs and such. :-{D}
ReplyDeleteHi, I am the creator of the video, and unfortunately I had to re-upload the clip. So sorry the above video is dead! Feel free to replace it with the new one, and thank you for your support.

It's a great video, Justin. Thank you. Any out takes? It leaves us wanting more....
DeleteThanks!
DeleteGlad you guys like the video! It was a longer photo-shoot/interview of course, but as far as video goes I don't think Schatz has any plans to release any more of it.
DeleteKeep an eye out for Schatz's upcoming book though, it's possible some photos that didn't make the video will make it into that.
