The Series Premiere of Dexter: New Blood Draws 2.2 Million Viewers

Great news for Showtime. The season premiere of Dexter: New Blood pulled in very strong viewership numbers. 

According to Deadline, "Cold Snap" delivered 2.2 million viewers across linear and streaming platforms and is on track to become Showtime's most-watched show ever on OTT (over the top) on its premiere day, according to the network. The first episode was the most-watched scripted drama season opener telecast among all premium channels so far in 2021. 

In 2013, the series finale titled "Remember the Monsters?" averaged about 2.8 million viewers, which was an all-time high back in the day.


On Sunday night at 9 pm, "Cold Snap" drew 866K viewers. On-demand and streaming viewership is projected to reach 1.303 million, making for a 2.169 million total viewers projected for Sunday across all platforms.
