Dexter Revival Casting News - 'Breaking Bad' Alum Bryan Cranston Joins Season 9 For Major Villain Role [Updated]

Former 'Breaking Bad' star Bryan Cranston joins the new season of Dexter!


BIG NEWS! Bryan Cranston, known for his role as Walter White/Heisenberg on AMC's Breaking Bad, is the latest casting addition to the upcoming ninth season of Dexter.

Cranston will portray Edward Sonnenfeld, a family man in his mid-60s from New York City, who moved from 'The Big Apple' to Iron Lake (fictional place where Season 9 is located) in order to find a 'peaceful and quiet' life.
 
'Edward' or 'Ed' is described as timid, rational, caring to his colleagues, but he can easily become irascible and out of control. His past is full of bloody secrets. 

Cranston's latest TV role was for  Showtime's 'Your Honor'. His latest gig on Dexter hasn't been announced yet officially by Showtime so, you read it here, first!
