Showtime has made a rare overall deal with Dexter showrunner Scott Buck to keep him with the network when the series ends, Showtime president David Nevins announced few minutes ago.
Nevins announced the deal at the Television Critics Association summer press tour, soon after the network celebrated the show with a "Dexter"-themed lunch, complete with staged murders and cupcakes caked with fake blood.
Buck signed on as the showrunner of "Dexter" in 2010 after serving as an executive producer. His other credits include "Six Feet Under," "Rome" and "Everybody Loves Raymond."
